I bought this online at Home Depot in advance of the Oregon wildfire smoke, and when I got there to pick it up, the window vent kit was broken in several pieces, probably on the delivery truck to the store. It was the only air conditioner they had in stock in the store and would have taken weeks to get another one, and I couldn't wait. The store gave me a discount but I had to figure out what to do about the broken vent kit. I called Frigidaire and they honored the warranty and shipped me out another vent kit. In the meantime I was able to create a vent kit with a piece of cardboard and use the unit, which works great. It's quiet and efficient. No complaints!

We needed a a/c unit for a ailing pet, and our sliding windows ruled out a window mount unit. I got this unit hoping that it could keep a bedroom cool.It sets up quickly, and it easily cooled the bedroom. So I moved it to the living room/dining room area just to see. Despite a major Calif. heatwave going on it keep the larger area incredibly comfortable without any struggle.When initially looking for a unit I knew LG was off the table after a horrible experience with their refrigerator, and I™™m really pleased so far with the quality and performance of the Frigidaire.

I have had this unit for about three weeks now and it works pretty well. It™™s in my second floor bedroom and we have had several 90 degree days recently, which has been a good test for this unit. Happy with it so far.

I purchased this unit four weeks ago to cool a 22 x 22 living room. The unit is installed 3 feet from an custom window that allows a permanent drain lower than the unit with no sharp angles for the exhaust port. The window is covered with a black vinyl wrap and curtained so that the unit is not exposed to direct sunlight. If I turn the unit on in the morning it keeps the room temperature about 10 degrees lower than the outside temperature until the heat of the day where it seems to struggle. Because I live in Western PA the humidity is high and since I have a permanent drain, I operate the unit on "auto or dry." The unit was actually purchased in error because the model number is the exact same as the 14,000 btu unit, but because of COVID-19 I didn't want the hassle of returning it and the vendor offered a discount, so I kept it because it is portable. I state that the unit is only adequate, because 484 square feet approaches the limits of this 10,000 btu unit's capacity, but I think that relative to its size, it could probably cool a little better. The sound/noises it makes are not intrusive and I like the ease of its functionality.

I bought this Portable air conditioner 6/10/2020 and it arrived 6/11/2020. It arrived when they said it would, On time (smiled) Next setting it up was so a breeze 1,2 3!!! It keeps me completely cool, cold if that's what your looking for. Because that's what I have an awesome portable air conditioner that came from Grainger on time as they said!!! I bought this unit to keep an upstairs bedroom cool since our central air conditioner doesn't work well beyond the first floor. I have the fan set to auto and like how the variable fan speed works. This unit is much quieter than others that I have used.

I bought mine to get ahead of the heat this year and replace my old unit. Keeps my top floor 150 sq. ft bedroom at a cozy, cool and controllable temperature. I had a bit of trouble with the installation. The exhaust hose's connection to the sliding plastic pieces that fit into the window is insecure. I used some cardboard to support my hose to keep it from falling out of the exhaust "hole" on the sliding plastic pieces. Overall, I'm happy.

Bought this 10,000BTU unit to replace a Honeywell unit that fell apart inside under normal use conditions. We needed to cool our large master bedroom on a regular basis. This new Frigidaire unit makes our bedroom super nice and cold. We love this new Frigidaire so much, it makes our room as cold as we desire.Super easy to use, is VERY quiet for a portable AC unit, and easy peasy to clean the reusable filter. The unit has an easy to install hose and is very sleek looking. Frigidaire knows what they are doing! We are now lifetime supporters of Frigidaire!!

I purchased this a/c for my small apartment that gets sun exposure on 2 sides for most of the day and I have used it to keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature on 9 of the last 10 days. The installation was easy for anyone with basic dexterity and knowledge of simple tools. The temperature settings, and swivel features are easy to use and this unit has provided good service. Hopefully it will continue to be beneficial throughout the hotter summer months.

I purchased this as a replacement after the portable unit (different brand) I owned quit right in the middle of a heatwave. The Frigidaire performed better and cooled more effectively than my previous unit had ever done, even when brand new. Even though the other was touted as "library quiet" as one of its major features, the Frigidaire is quieter. I'm very pleased with my new product and hope it continues to perform reliably for a long time.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to help keep my living room comfortable in our 100+™ heat. The whole side of my trailer gets the western sun and gets very hot and a/c can™™t keep up. Now my dogs and I are no longer sitting in an uncomfortable room.

I received this unit after the unit I had broke down. Frigidaire was great with replacing by broken unit, but the newer version of this model doesn™™t get as cold and takes much longer to cool the room down. Still a good product, hopefully this one is more reliable as the trade off for not being strong....

I've had this portable AC for about a month and I'm very happy with it. It takes up a small footprint, is easy to install and effectively cools my bedroom. Even setting the thermostat to 76 and fan on auto will keep the room nice and cool.

Had this for almost 2 months and I looooove it, my room get extremely hot and humid in the summer so this was perfect, the only thing I dont like is the hooking up the window part, it pops out alot so like another reviewer on this product I had to use tape but overall it's the best thing I have bought!

I bought this unit when my AC wasn't working and I couldn't have chosen the right brand. I love Frigidaire products and never knew they had portable ac units until I saw it on QVC. I just love the style and the performance of it. The remote control makes it even more productive. I would recommend this product to any and everyone. I just wish I could afford another one for my 1800 sqft home.

As mentioned in other reviews, the included materials to vent the portable A/C, mine does not have heat capability, are cumbersome and difficult to use. While I'd like to perform the occasional (power outage=generator) installation without fuss, the only way I've found to work well is with some sturdy tape. Paid extra for the variety that does not leave residue when removed.I've used it three times. When first purchased, I turned it on to make sure it wasn't DOA. Later, I used it with my new generator to ensure the generator provided enough juice. It is now (11/05/2018) running because my central A/C quit.Which brings me to the Use & Care manual. The majority of A/C's drain condensate during use. I presumed this one would, also. Knowing it would be some time before my central A/C was back in operation, and living in Florida, I made a special trip to pick up a leader hose. Only to discover I didn't need to.Even when I tested "Dry" mode (with the hose in place) there is no drainage occurring. Readers should note they are unlikely to need "continuous drainage" unless they live in a rain forest!See pictures:High humidity - checkUnit running in dry mode over an hour - checkHose feeding to completely dry bucket - checkIn summary, Kudos to the design engineers and manufacturer!Not so much to the folks who wrote the manual.

No auto setting since it never turns off or adjusts temperature. Although it says it will work for 450 sf room, that is not really true. Had it in my living room at had to move it to my bedroom (160sf) where it works fine.

I bought this a couple weeks ago, and have not run it in Dry mode to avoid the water hose complication - and found out a week into using it that it heavily leaks water - not a fun thing to learnniny our carpeted bedroom. I™™ve reviewed all the manuals and guides - and it™™s pretty clear that i shouldn™™t need a hose unless i™™m using dry mode - but it™™s still putting out half a gallon in 4-5 hours. Am i missing something or is this unit busted? I™™d be happy if not for this issue.

I bought this about 6 weeks ago for my bedroom and it works great. It cools my room in 10 minutes and i love the timer feature because i can fall asleep without having to turn it off knoe it will only run as long as i want it to. The only thing i dislike is the window kit. The hose constantly come out of the panel so now the hose is taped to the panel but i used clear tape so it isnt as noticeable. Overall, great product!
