Knobs are terrible quality and unsafe

I bought this range from Costco less than a year ago. All of the knobs slip and don't turn the metal stem properly. It's hard to tell if the burner is really turned off because they slip so even though the red line is up, that doesn't mean it actually turned off. It's very unsafe! I had a repair person out today and he said even though the outside of the knob is metal, the inside is plastic and they strip or crack. He said the warranty on knobs is only 30 days.

This is the 2nd Kitchen aid stove I ordered in Sep 2025. Since it was not available on the store, I directly shopped from Kitchen aid. Our 1st stove is still good which I bought from Pire store. But shopping with Kitchen aid turned out a very bad experience. It arrived on time, but within 3-4 months top of the stop started showing up rust. reached out to customer service, they fixed it. Recently one of the turning nobs came off. I felt like I received an item which was sitting in the warehouse for long time or Kitchen Aid didn't do any quality check before sending it to the customer. I can't believe Kitchen aid enforces customers to buy care plans without a one-year warranty. It seems their products can™€™t be sustained for more than 2 years. I think I made mistake to buying Kitchen Aid. I wish I could get replacement instead of calling them to get it fixed every other month.

Great product but bad oven smell

We bought this product about a month ago and we like it a lot other than the smell that the oven causes. We have used the oven multiple times and there is still a smell when we operate it although we think it is slowly getting better over time. When the installer came, they told us it would be temporary and it would burn off. It was very strong at first and getting a little better with each use, but we still smell it after multiple attempts to burn it off at first and after multiple times cooking. Manual mentions nothing of burning off the smell.

I™€™ve had my new KitchenAid range for a short time and it cooks beautifully™€"no complaints on the performance or features. However, I am disappointed with the glass cooktop surface. Even with careful use, minor spills seem to "bond" to the glass instantly, leaving marks that look like permanent scratches and are very difficult to remove. It requires much more intensive cleaning than expected to keep it looking new. Love the oven, just wish the glass was more resilient!

Horrible experience with range and CS

Purchased an electric range less than a month ago through Costco. As soon as it was plugged in the ™€œhot surface™€ indicator lit up and stayed on constantly. After taking time off to wait for a service tech to show up between a 1-6pm window, they simply no-showed but texted after 7 to offer coming out the next day. Because I work full time like most adults I was not available, but rescheduled for a week later. This time the tech showed up promptly but discovered, after having been on hold with Whirlpool for over an hour, that someone assembling the range simply didn™€™t plug in two crucial wires, which were found resting ON THE ELEMENT. This level of shoddy construction and lack of quality control could have put my family™€™s life at risk. The tech was then placed BACK on hold and eventually had to leave to answer another call, so the issue is yet to be resolved. Absolutely unacceptable and will be escalating with Costco and Whirlpool. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Bought this range to replace the similar older Whirlpool model where the convection oven stopped working. Good news was this range was less that the one replaced. Buying from Costco had additional benefits of free delivery, haul off and installation. The one design change I wouild recommend is to replace the dot markers for the eyes on the top with circles like the older model. The dots look like particles on the oven top. Taking time to get used to this.

I purchased my KitchenAid Electric Convection range in 2017 from Lowe's to replace my 23 year old KitchenAid Electric Convection range that no longer had replacement parts available. Purchased a 3 year warranty at the time. Now the oven doesn't reach temperature for regular or convection functions and it's only 8 years old. So no warranty left and I am waiting two weeks for service after calling KitchenAid customer service. I sure expected this to last more than 8 years. Who knows if they can even fix it or how much it will cost me. Overall I do like it except for the too small storage drawer, that a broiler pan is no longer included in the purchase and the Aqua Lift steam cleaner is useless. I only used it twice and have since cleaned my oven by hand. The quality is surely not what I expected or paid for from KitchenAid

I bought this unit a month ago. It was delivered missing a rack which was replaced with a call to Costco from it was purchased. A storage drawer rail was not attached and drawer couldn't be removed to access the improperly installed anti tip device nor the rear revelers. The operation of the range and oven has been straight forward. The nob for the range don't have temperature ranges exceptow and high. If I had paid full price of $1500,it would be a terrible purchase. It was on sale for$800. The workmanship was disappointing but repairable.

This replaced a 3 year old LG I was so disappointed in. The LG was so hot by oven door you could burn yourself- -Kitchenaid ok. The oven racks in the LG would drop significantly when you slid them out 1/2 way. The Kitchenaid holds firm. Hard to figure out stove top controls on the LG. Kitchenaid small clicks are very easy. Small clocks on stovetop controls of Kitchenaid are awesome. The controls for the oven are very easy to understand on the Kitchenaid also. The cooktop on the Kitchenaid has more even heating. Kitchenaid oven has more even heating and more versatility

3 racks makes a difference

Delivered 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and it did so well. The oven heats evenly and insulation seems very good as the convection is whisper quiet. Cook top heats up quick and maintains the temp. Very even Cooking. The 3 racks really are wonderful. I only gave it 4 stars because the oven came missing the special bottom roaster rack and I didn't want to sign for an incomplete oven but the delivery company was like don't our fault, and I was like well you unboxed it and it was missing parts so it wasn't my fault. After an hour of customer service calling (She was very helpful in getting the missing rack on order) it arrived in time for Thanksgiving. So 4 stars for the Hassle and the fact the oven came direct from manufacturer missing parts. It's not the oven itself fault, it's great. The door view is also fantastic its so nice to be able to see everything your baking all at once without having to Crack the door because the window is too small.

The top scratch™€™s very easy and also has small crack is not sure how I clean houses so I know how to clean it and take care of it. Have brand new pants that I used on it. Make sure the surface is clean before I cook anything so not real sure how the scratches or cracks got on there within the first month I that I had it. Called to have it replaced even bought the extended warranty and they would not cover it.

I wish I had my money back! This oven takes forever to preheat. The outside stainless trim around the cooktop gets extremely hot. It would burn your hand if you don™€™t quickly move it. And yes I know that it™€™s covered on your website but it™€™s much hotter once the oven has been on for 45 minutes. It is dangerous.

I bought this unit and it is unusable as a oven. You preheat to temp and it is not at that temp. the service person says nothing is wrong with it. So, the recipe says 350 degrees and it cooks a 300 or less and there is no indication of that. the preheat says it is at that temp Not a usable oven.

Love the oven but not the glass top.

I like the oven portion. It cooks beautifully. I am not happy with the glass top. It developed a hairline crack after the second use. I was extra gentle with it as it was 2 days old, and was very disappointed to find it. The silicone around the edges is not great either. It is nice on the right side, but the left side is bubbly and rough.

Never worked right and got worse

This oven has never baked evenly. The convection setting is useless. Then after two years with this oven, one of the heating elements dies and we were no longer covered by warranty. The top right front burner will show it is on warm but never heat the element. This started happening about a year ago.

Love the look. The guard that is on top of oven door so liquid cannot go between glass in door is the best! Great thought in that! It seems to not have as much cooking heat on top until it is turned up to high. Medium heat is still low.

Does not bake evenly. Dinner rolls are brown on the bottom and white on the top. Oven does not seen to be the correct temperature either. The stovetop gets way too hot. Overcooked hamburgers are the rule now. It's pretty. That's the only good thing I have to say about it.

Wonderful Range

I bought it about a month ago and I™€™m still learning all of the features. I wish it had come with a more comprehensive user manual because the quick start one doesn™€™t fully explain everything. I looked on line but there is nothing available. Overall, I really like my new stove and oven and it cooks and bakes so much better than the LG that was here was here when we bought the house. My cakes don™€™t fall anymore!!!

Works wonderful bakes evenly and precise. Quik and easy clean up also love how it shuts off after cook timer so no burning pizzas if you leave for a quik shower.

I have one quibble.

The range is working out very well. My quibble is with the alert sounds such as the timer. They are too soft for me to hear. I have checked the settings and they are set to loud but I can hardly hear them if there is outside noise or I am not right by the range. The fact that they only peep once and then go silent for awhile does not help. I'm using a external timer to cook with now but that does not help on other alerts such as oven up to temperature. Can't something be done to put useful alerts on the range?

I want to love this range, but there are issues that I feel that need to be addressed. I understand that it is sometimes hard moving from one product to another but I feel this one is not as user friendly. For one, the timer is different And a little more difficult to use. Next, I personally do not like the start button that begins any process. I have never had one because I don™€™t like that and if I had known at the time, I purchased it that I had to do that to begin any process I would™€™ve never bought this range. Another issue I have found with this range is that the front of the range get extremely hot while baking and this is something I have never experienced. It scares me for family members, and especially our grandchildren to be near the range While it is in use. This is something I™€™ve never had to deal with before. Of course, since it gets hot on the outside of the range, it heats up the kitchen. Again, I have never experienced this since the early 80s and a rental house we had.

Going to take some getting used to!

The oven's convection system takes long time to understand! Once it hits the required set time which you determine it shuts down! Not one of our favorite ovens at this point but maybe in time we'll get used to it. But sometimes simple is better. I add it was delivered damaged on the sides because of the cheap materials.
