I like it....but

Murphsmom 9/29/2026

I like the range. My only concern is that I'd recommend to move the control panel to the front instead of the top. I home can and while water bathing, water bubbled out and shorted my previous one out. (Same model). It was more cost efficient to purchase a new one.

Incompatible with Modern Wiring, Great Features

JAK12 9/17/2026

Product is incompatible with GFI/AFCI circuit breakers per the product manual. Since building code now requires such circuit breakers for kitchen appliances such as the range, this product is not suitable for newer homes. But when it works without blowing the circuit breaker, its great or I would give it only one star.

I hate this range so much

nicolatopus 8/10/2026

i have had this stove for just over a year and I am not surprised it has been discontinued - it sucks in soooo many ways; self clean feature sucks - some new steam system that does nothing (not the kind that heats up and burns off everything) the small and medium burners are at the back so its only big burners at the front which is so dumb, supposedly its a convection oven? not a very good one and all the oven smoke exhausts at the back & runs up and stains my brand new stone walls - I hate this range so much and wish I never bought it - I bought the $12K built in fridge to go with it also not worth the $ IMO

Some Awkward Features

Meebly 7/24/2026

I like the stovetop, however, it would be more efficient if the smaller burners were in the front and the larger ones in the rear. The burner knobs turn on too easily and you can accidentally start the gas leaking. All it takes is contact with your body to turn them on. Otherwise, this is a good stove and the oven temperatures are consistent.

Not a great choice for top of the line

Elle14 7/23/2026

The heat distribution of the oven is uneven and the temperature is a bit off. This is also NOT a self cleaning oven. The cleaning cycle consists of some steam that does nothing for baked on spots. Very disappointed in this over for a top of the line model.

Disappointing quality for the price

LilacPimlico 4/27/2026

We purchased this KitchenAid range in February 2019 for nearly $2,000, and unfortunately, the quality has been very disappointing. Within the first month, we noticed what appeared to be peeling film or finish failure on the stainless/trim area near the oven door. Shortly after that, within about two months of purchase, we also noticed small scratches on the stainless steel. I contacted KitchenAid to ask about the grade of stainless steel used on this model and was told that information was not listed and that the issue was not covered under warranty. The control knobs have also been a significant disappointment. They appear to be plastic with a thin metallic/foil finish rather than solid metal. That finish began peeling shortly after purchase, and now all five knobs are peeling. The loose foil edges are sharp, so this is no longer just a cosmetic concern. Replacing the knobs with OEM parts is also surprisingly expensive. The oven also takes a very long time to cool down after normal use. After baking at 375 degrees, it can take close to two hours for the oven to cool, and the cooling fan is loud enough to be heard from our dining room. For a range at this price point, I expected more durable materials, better fit and finish, and a better ownership experience. Based on our experience, I would not purchase this model again. I attempted to upload photos showing the peeling knob finish and the early finish failure near the oven door, but the review photo upload tool is not working and would not accept the images.

Replaced with same model

PNW resident 3/3/2026

We purchased this gas slide in range to replace the same model we had owned for 10 years. The control panel contained several errors codes and after months of having to reset the breaker in order to use the oven it finally would not reset even after multiple attempts. Could use the gas range fine but without a working oven it was time to replace. Fortunately it was a closeout model on website and was an excellent price!

Great oven, HORRIBLY LOW VOLUME TIMER

KMNW 1/23/2026

Great over. Love the look and it seems to function well. Major issue is that nearly every day my wife complains that she can™€™t hear the timer. It™€™s a single alert, few short beeps and that it. If you are are out of the kitchen you™€™ll never know it went off. Volume setting makes no difference. Other comments online complain about this. Horrible design element.

Aqualift Self Clean system is horrible!

Alison123 1/21/2026

We bought this dual fuel range roughly 8 months ago. We do love the dual fuel and the look of this range but it™€™s the aqualift system that is a MAJOR disappointment! I recently went to clean my oven for the first time and am kicking myself for not paying attention to what aqualift really meant. It literally does nothing. I still had to use EasyOff to get it clean. I really hate scrubbing ovens and am seriously thinking about replacing it already.

This Stove is Dangerous!

DYD- 12/31/2025

I bought this stove in 2021 and have had continual issues from the beginning. The main issue is that there is minimal resistance in the knobs on the stove and bumping into them or even lightly brushing by can shift the gas on, often with no beep or any warning noise. Sometimes the flame pops on when leaning over the stove to clean the wall behind. It is terrifying to have the flames spontaneously turn on when reaching over the stove. I had a service call about this issue a while ago and was told that the stove as ™€œworking as designed.™€ Since then, my family and I have had numerous dangerous incidents. I have contacted KitchenAid several times, asking for a response and there has been no communication from them. After over four years of gas leaks in the house and near burns, I am getting rid of the stove. It is too dangerous. I would like some reimbursement from the company.

I love this KitchenAid Range

Meri Kiwi-Morris 12/29/2025

I bought this right after Thanksgiving when my Whirlpool oven quit working. Actually this is the 3rd time I have purchased this exact KitchenAid gas Range for use in three different homes. It comes up to temperature quickly and cooks evenly. The steam cleaning feature could heat up a bit more, as it really only warms the oven to help loosen dirt and does little to clean grease that has splattered in the oven.

Great stove

firefly 12/26/2025

I bought this before Thanksgiving and have fallen in love with it. I love the main burner that has a simmer setting which goes really low so you can leave soups and chilli's to simmer without problems. The oven is spacious and cooks like a dream. Everyone was raving about my Christmas brunch egg and French toast bake this year and the only difference was in the consistency and evenness of the oven. And finally cleanup is a breeze. The grates on the cook top are easy to remove and the surface around the burners wipes up with little effort. I would definitely recommend this product.

We bought a lemon

Loyal customers 12/13/2025

We bought this product in 2025 and have had nothing but problems. The problem from arriving was the broiler. Called the day after setup and was told we could fix or return in 1 day. First lie, we had it repaired which took 2 service to fix. Next we started noticing failures when baking, burned items, uneven cooking, oven not holding Temps, wide fluctuations. Had another service call this time two visits and one month wait for parts. Called again after we got back from a vacation with more problems. Service company miss diagnosed problem from 2nd visit. Tried to get another visit but whirlpool and tech says oven is functioning normally. We don't think 30 degree swings is normal. Baking is difficult with too hot or not hot enough and having bad bakes. Don't believe whirlpool with a great service area and good customer service. We still are in the warranty stage and all they want to is sell you an extended warranty. We can't get them to fix control panel as tech lied and said they replaced it and they didn't. We want them to take this junk back and we need a return agreement for lowes to pick it up.

Bought this new KitchenAid gas range a few months back to replace my Whirlpool gas range. Love it! Easy gas knob controls. Easy to read. Cast iron grate is very secure with pots of all sizes. Loved the hinged grate on the whirlpool, as the KitchenAid does not have that feature. Not a super big inconvenience. Great aesthetics with stainless steel and black color scheme.

Disappointing 2 years

abihollands 11/29/2025

I™€™ve had this range for 2 years as part of a total kitchen refresh. As recommended, I kept giving myself time to adjust to using a different appliance, but I™€™m done with it. I did a lot of research before selecting this model. I really wanted a gas range with no wifi tools or other electronic gadgets. The positives: it™€™s good-looking, I love cooking with the stove top burners, and it™€™s overall very easy to clean. The negative: an unreliable oven. It often makes a loud, whining, rattling sound (like a ™€˜72 Pontiac) while cooling down, occasional squeaking or whistling sounds while preheating, the convection has never worked correctly, and it cooks very unevenly - I have tested it with an oven thermometer in different areas of the oven. Most recently the uneven cooking was evidenced by baking multiple potatoes of the same size. Some were burned on the bottom (cooked directly on rack) and others weren™€™t quite done. Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and the oven igniter would continue clicking with no ignition, pause for a bit, then attempt ignition again. This happened multiple times throughout the baking cycle and the kitchen smelled of gas, so now it appears the igniter needs replacing. I had such high hopes, but I have been disappointed with the oven performance since day one. I think I got a lemon.

Great slide-in stove

Sparky4110 10/27/2025

When we where shopping for a new slide-in range, we had locked in on a less expensive unit, but then we saw this unit with a low of nice features, including the convection option. But this unit has already been repaired twice within 22 months! Thanks to our buying an extended warranty through ABT, or else we would be in a great amount of pain and trouble; but the ugly truth is that , compared to all of our other appliances, which are all stainless steel, the quality of the material used for our Kitchen Aid range is of very poor quality, as it has a poor luster, scratches very easily, and it just doesn™€™t clean very well, as our Whirlpool appliances are older but much more expensive looking, and a breeze to clean and polish, even with just soap and water, but not this Kitchen Aid range!

It is not perfect! But so far so good.

TitiNini 10/24/2025

The oven works great. The five burners are a nice touch but the flames are high even on simmer or low. What I am not happy with is the fact that there is not a lip attached to the sides so there isn™€™t a gap between counter and stove. I purchased the kit and am not loving the look and it is not a perfect fit. My previous slide in Superba model had it manufactured in.

Mikenet 10/5/2025

Overall, the range's cooktop performs well, but the oven is significantly flawed. It consistently fails to reach the set temperature, which makes baking and roasting unreliable. Furthermore, when the oven is in use, the exterior of the range becomes excessively hot, causing the kitchen and surrounding area to heat up rapidly and uncomfortably.

Have been unable to use the oven broiler™€" when I turn it on, it only stays on/lit for about 5 minutes and then shuts off. Also, the self-clean oven cycle does not work™€"have tried to self clean cycle twice, but the oven is not clean!

Durability Issues: Model KSGG700ESS1

Rogue86 9/27/2025

February 2020 we purchased KitchenAid refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range from Standard TV and Appliance in Bend Oregon. Delivery - install was ok. All items were complete. We had to hire a plumber to move the gas line and an electrician to run a 120v circuit. After I finished the install all of the appliances operated as expected. We were concerned that the gas burner knobs can be bumped on very easily and emit gas creating a very dangerous condition (a number of reviews mentioned this concern.) The oven and fan do make some noise but that did not bother us much. September 2023 we started F8E0 error message stating "low fan speed" on the gas range. At first we could cancel and restart the oven. Standard TV & Appliance said they no longer had repair person and Select Home Warranty put up so many barriers we were on our own. A little research showed F8E0 error is known issue for this range. We ordered an OEM replacement fan because we could not get repair service. Replaced the fan and the range worked. September 2025 the F8E0 error started showing up again. We were about to start the repair process again when..... September 26, 2025 Friday afternoon the glass on the oven door shattered! Glass all over the floor. Fortunately, we did not have a house full of people and small children. I dismantled the door, removed broken glass pieces and about three hours later had cleaned up the mess. I am retired, have repair experience and tools. Not everyone will be able handle this type emergency! At this point we are planning to replace the range with a different brand.

Mediocre

We have had this stove for 6 years. Here™€™s the good. It looks nice. Now for the bad. All the paint has come off indicating which burner is which. The burners run excessively hot. The simmer burner, the only true burner you can turn the burner down low, goes out and the house fills with gas. Overall, this stove is mediocre.

Amazing

I love my gas kitchenaid stove, it is so much better than electric and beautiful. Easy to clean, easy to adjust temperatures, and looks amazing in my kitchen.

Cooking with gas has its learning curves but the stove has been doing very well. I™€™ve only used the oven a couple of times since purchasing the stove so I really haven™€™t formed an opinion about that yet. With the oven being larger than my last stove it also means I™€™ve had to sacrifice storage space for lids and such in the lower storage drawer and is virtually useless compared to my last stove.

Love the range

The range works great. Even heat on all the burners. I really like that the grates cover the entire range top. Makes it easy to have heat zones in your pan. The only issue I have with the range is the fit and finish. There are a lot of nooks and crannies for food to get stuck in. There is also some unfinished edges.
