We bought this to replace a bosch dryer and are very pleased. The only negative is that you cannot put too much weight (i.e., your bodyweight) on the top of the dryer. Our laundry space is tight and I am accustomed to laying on top of the dryer to reach over and connect the power and vent. Our old dryer had a hard reinforced plastic top that held my weight. I was surprised that the metal top on this dryer actually bent under my weight. When our washer quits, we'll replace it with the matching Maytag washer.

It does not have a light in, makes a chirping noise when running ( they already were out and looked at it said it was the rollers from sitting to long and after time it will stop) and THE CLOTHS DON'T DRY ON NORMAL I must always come back and put on time dry. HATE IT

We love the new dryer, it's just as fast as it should be and does a great job with large loads. However, on this model there is no way to turn off the "tone" that plays when the load is done. The tone is loud and rather annoying. Had we know this was an issue, we would have purchased the next model up if only to turn of the tone.

A dryer shouldn't be so complicated. I've reset the energy saver option each time I use it and it won't stay as a default. We've stacked the Dryer on top of matching Washer and lighted options are above normal vision line.

this is our second Maytag washer and dryer. the first ones lasted 10 years. may not seem like a long time but our washer and dryer hook up is in the garage. the Arizona heat is way too much in a garage. maybe the dryer could have been fixed but for as much as we use the washer and dryer and being in the garage and what we paid 10 years ago we waaaaaay more than got our moneys worth. all the washer and dryers out on the market we choose again Maytag. we hope this set will last as long if not longer. we also bought the pedestal and love the storage.

This dryer is very effienct and quiet. There are many different setting to choose from so my clothes, bedding and other items come out wrinkle free. The only problem I have is that I am short and had to learn where the different setting are to be able to set the dryer without getting on a step stool.

I am a previous Maytag appliance owner so when it came to move I decided to purchase a newer Maytag dryer. The drying time is less even with large loads so I am saving on energy. This is even when doing loads of jeans and towels.

We have two baby girls and use clothe diapers. So our washer gets put to good use many times per day. Keep it clean and the door open when not in use and we've had no issues with odor. The spin cycle can sound a little like an airplane is taking off in the next room. But nothing more than any other washer.

Gets the clothes dry! Has a little bit of trouble sensing when clothes are dry if there is not much in it (and cuts off while they are still wet), but I just put it on timed dry if that happens. The washer and dryer in this set play very loud tunes when you turn them on and when the cycle finishes. After consulting the instruction manual, it is not possible to turn the sound off on one of the machines. I think it was the washer but can't remember for sure. Not an issue unless you like to try to do laundry while there are light sleepers around.

This is a very nice machine, the settings are all pre-selected so you can't change any to fit what you want to do. You may want the normal to dry for 30 minutes but it is preset for 70 and I would have to set a timer to manually turn it off. It dries very nicely though, but doesn't have a cool down for the normal dry; I have learned to use the other settings although they are also preset so that I can manipulate it to get the results I want.
