Happy with the interior of both but not with the ice-maker/water dispenser. The ice tends to clump together and does not dispense ice cubes but rather only crushed ice.

I was so happy to buy a home with brand new stainless steel appliances! Within the first few months I needed a technician to fix a dishwasher leak. About a year and a half after being purchased, the fridge stopped making ice and the water flow to the door stopped.

Overall pleased except that ice agulator stop working 13 months after purchase. When I purchased replacement part I noticed that an additional part ( rubber washer) was added to protect it from moisture. I was out $150 for a replacement part that was a manufacture defect. Since the product was registered I feel I should have been advised of the defect and supplied the fix.

I bought this a month ago and I wish I would've done it sooner. I replaced my side by side with this model and what a difference it's made in my organization and amount of food thrown out. My family can easily see everything in the unit and very little food gets lost in the back or bottom shelf which means a lot less is thrown out.

I like this fridge it's big and has more room for large bottles the only thing is the doors dont close after use so if you forget it just stays open till you remember to close it the last fridge I had the doors would close it'd the only thing that is different. Oh and the water filter is up inside the top that's a nice feature.

Our landlord purchased this fridge after our old one died. So far it has worked well. There is plenty of space, the LED lights are great, and the extra spaces throughout are quite handy.Complaints:-the ice dispenser, when on crushed ice mode, spits ice EVERYWHERE. Unless you hold your glass right up against the opening, you WILL get ice on the floor. And the tray to catch any excess is tiny and holds virtually no water.-Door (especially the one that holds the ice) does not close easily. I wish the alert for the door being open would be more persistent and go off more often, but not be so annoying of a sound.-The surface is hard to clean. I have not found a cleaner that gets rid of the spots/streaks well.

We have limited space front to back and found that most of the current French door refrigerators were too deep. We found this Maytag to be just right. The features are limited compared to more current models: it has only one evaporator, and the adjustments are mechanical rather then electronic, but it does what it is supposed to do and is a great Value. Unfortunately, we have an open floor plan. When the multi-speed compressor runs at high speed (which it does a lot), this is a noisy unit, louder than our dishwasher, and it interferes with hearing the TV. We are waiting for a repair tech to verify whether this is normal operation. If it is, the dealer has agreed to take it back. That aside, dealing with Maytag to arrange the repair visit was not a great experience.

This refrigerator is of better Quality than the 22 cu. ft., which we had to swap as it was not. I do feel though that the ice maker is not first rate as this one also shoots the ice pieces out over the top of the glass, but not like the 22 cu. ft.

Very happy with purchase very roomy and functional. Love the small removable ice container. The only issue I have is how the ice comes out of the dispenser. You must have a wide mouth glass to catch the ice. You can't fill your water bottle from the dispenser the ice goes everywhere.

everything is great with this fridge. The only complaint would be with the ice maker buttons. You have to really push them to work, could require a lot less pressure to operate. Kind of a pain.

This refrig looks great and is great! I've always wanted the freezer on the bottom and I love it. Plus there is plenty of room- I had a side by side and I think this has the same if not more space in the freezer. I love the French doors. I read about noise from making ice but it is not any louder than our old refrig and ice maker. It is not an issue. And it does make ice quickly especially when you hit the fast ice button. I love the drawers and the space inside. I couldn't be happier.

We bought this a month ago because we built our home and they put in the maytag product line so to match we got this refrigerator. I find the buttons to be difficult to press to change from water to ice. There isn't much room in the interior for larger bottles unless you push the top shelf back.

that I chose this model. It is spacious and what I wanted and needed. We have been married 46 yrs and this is my second frig bought new. lots of handmedowns. The first one was a double set in avocado back in 72. which we left with house. Bought one month ago. Side by side fridge doors don't line up. Ice dispenser side sticks out farther and not level with right side. Repairman here several times. Water accumulates on freezer door and have to wipe up daily. An interior basket for door is missing. Can't use water/ice dispenser without getting wet and or ice escaping the area and flying onto the floor, have had to put a rug in front of fridge. Not happy.

I like this fridge much better than my former side by side. Good room interior, and great multi-level freezer compartment- loads of room- But- we do not like the ice dispenser AT ALL.- Crushed or cubed- the ice goes absolutely EVERYWHERE- always- no matter how close one holds the glass or container to be filled. We have given up- and just open the fridge door and physically take the ice out by hand (of course this only works on getting "cubed" ice- or we take out the entire ice bin. Additionally- the "in the door shelving" is beginning to come apart. We do like the crispers and the sandwhich/meat/cheese keeper- spacious

Our old frig ice maker never worked right. Love the dispenser for those & water especially having the unit in the door, though miss that space for milk & wine bottles - haven't figured that out yet. Plenty of room otherwise. Very quiet. Selector arrows took a bit of getting the feel for.

Didn't work correctly from day one

My wife and I purchased this to replaced our side by side that died. We decided on a French Door and to give Maytag a chance because we have a local independent dealer that treats everyone very well. I have nothing but praise for the dealer we purchased this Maytag from; however, this refrigerator simply would not keep things cold. I don't want to go through every step, but we noticed that our milk was warm. After that, I started keeping records of how it was maintaining temperature. Basically, the fresh food storage ranged between 38-48 degrees even though the freezer was maintaining about 5 degrees. I stopped in and talked to the person I purchased it from. They recommended dropping the temperature from 37 to 36. This did nothing to help, basically we ended up going down to 33 with little affect and dropped the freezer to -5. Our refrigerator is totally maxed out trying to keep our food from spoiling. They promptly sent out a person for the service call and it was finally decided to replace the whole computer board. We couldn't stand the thought of working on a brand new refrigerator, so our dealer easily agreed to help replace it. Our dealer is in the process of replacing it but it needed to be ordered and we are getting a different one instead of this one. We are getting the same color, but with the pull out drawer. We really like the black with the stainless handles. Maytag has a good reputation and anyone can get a dud, which we apparently did. We do like the layout and color. The adjustable shelves and sliding shelves are great. The water dispenser is poorly designed though. We didn't catch this at first and you probably wouldn't until you start using it. It should have separate buttons for ice and water; however, you must cycle between up and down arrows between crushed ice, cubed ice, and water to get to what you want. This is time consuming and is not user friendly as the buttons require a very firm press. Maybe we can love the next one

This refrigerator is a replacement for a unit purchased in Sept 2015.. the first one had numerous service calls. Finally the whole unit was replaced in may,2016. The same problem has started again with the ice maker. This is the same model that I had before that they claimed was unrepairable. This is totally frustrating to have to worry about and to constantly stay home for the serviceman who couldn't fix it anyway. Now we are starting all over again.
