We are thoroughly pleased with our new BOSCH 500 Series dishwasher. I researched extensively before purchasing this model, as we wanted a quality appliance with a great reputation which would hold up over time and one that would be nice and quiet. We hit a home run with this one!! We also love the versatility gained by the adjustable racks. Genius!!!

We have had our dishwasher for over a year now and still just as obsessed with it! It does a fantastic job, I love all the settings and the indicator light when its time to refill the rinse aid. The 3rd rack is so handy for knives and smaller sippy cup pieces. I love the feature that I can start it from my phone. The filter is so easy to clean.

I am not at all impressed with the remote features and do not understand why you think it neseccary to be able to remotely turn on the dishwasher. YOu need to to put the soap in mannually so push the start button. This is a very quiet machine, except for the red light you wouldn't even know it was on. I did not specifically pick the remote verson and thought it would arrive with the ability to manage right at the machine. Works fine dishes are very clean

Yes it is quiet....so quiet they have a light that shines on floor so one knows it's actually on and working. But it also cleans better than any I have had in past. I am not tech, but the app just works and it's not complicated to get it to work. And things just work like if u put on app for door to open after wash done, it actually works every time. Same experience as when I got first apple I-phone....it just works n works smoothly. App also great at informing how much water used and how many kilowatts used.

I am honestly not satisfied with my new dishwasher. I do not like the controls on the interior and the cycles are very difficult to select. I have read the instructions and it's still not good. I really wish they were on the front of the door . I'm not happy with my purchase.

I'm in my mid-70s. My parents had dishwashers starting in the 1960s. I had one before I married. My husband and I have had dishwashers since we married in 1975. This is absolutely the worst dishwasher I have ever used. The racks are useless. There is no logical way to load plates, bowls, serving dishes, etc. I am washing more things by hand than I have in my entire "dishwasher" life. Since I was unaware everything is wi-fi connected these days it was not on my radar when shopping for one. It is absolutely absurd that any function whatsoever is dependent on wi-fi. I should not have to use my cell phone to operate a dishwasher at any time or for any reason. Even the non wi-fi buttons are not intuitive. The purchase of this dishwasher was a monumental mistake on my part. It's inconvenient, does not serve the purpose for which it was manufactured, yet I cannot justify getting rid of it and purchasing another product. Buyer beware. I tried to give it a 0 rating but your review would not allow it.

I bought this machine based on sever reviews from people, however, I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. First you have to have to use a finish rinse otherwise it doesn't work - something else to buy and from an enviromental standpoint the rinse comes in plastic UGH. I don't leave food on but done rinse clean and I've noticed a bad stink when it's starts to get full, this never happened with my old washer from 1998 and my habits haven't changed. It cleans ok - glasses seem to be a hit and miss depends on how they go in. It is very quiet, however it doens't have a delay starts which I thought it did, that was the one feature I wanted. I have not hooked up to my phone, I don't want to reply on my phone to start my dishwasher. I spend the extra becuase I thought I was getting more, probably wouldn't do again.

The manner in which the tines are arranged is not condusive to getting sprayed/cleaned. Loading is a work in engineering. Also, no way to determine how much, if any, Jet-Dri Rinse is in the reservoir. Also, the silverware in the very top rack, isn't always clean. One good not, it is very quite.

Our old dishwasher flooded our kitchen and we wanted a dishwasher that has the water stop feature to prevent water leaks. So far, so good. We love how quiet this dishwasher is and how clean it gets our dishes. We never even hear it run when it's on.

Pros: three spray arms, multiple folding tines, cutlery drawer has an adjustment for deeper items, even the one-hour cycle does an amazing job, can download an additional cycle and save it to "Favorite," extremely quiet
Cons: the only display during operation is a red LED that shines on the floor, which conveys no useful information other than the dishwasher is running, so no way to know how much time is left in the cycle; the tines do not easily accomodate our high cereal/soup bowls with straight sides - they're not far enough apart so the bowls sit awkwardly; there is no "rinse only" cycle - you have to download one; the control panel periodically locks up, forcing a reset

I am so glad that I purchased this Dishwasher! It is life changing! I am single, and live alone and I still use it up to 3 times per week. I throw everything into it, and turn it on and never hear it running....SO QUIET! I never thought I'd like a dishwasher so much, but this one is amazing. It cost more than I thought I wanted to spend, but it has been so worth it. I love that I can put plastic containers anywhere in the washer as there's no heating element to melt them. The Auto-air feature on my model is perfect for me as it dries everything pretty well. There are some things that need some wiping, but it's more that I need to put them in so they can dry better. No problem for me to dry a few items. It's so efficient and uses not much water to get my dishes, pots and pans clean. I've even put in my crockpot vessels and they come out clean as well. I love that! As you can tell, I'm so glad I spent the extra money -- I actually feel lazy throwing everything in there and walking away. I am blessed!!

This is our third dishwasher in our home. Before we installed the new dishwasher we were afraid to use our old dishwasher, not knowing if the dishes will be clean. We love all of the features and have now connected the dishwasher to wifi. I love the fact that when the cycle is completed, the door pops open to allow any moisture to escape. I would recommend this unit to anyone!

Because this dishwasher is so quiet, and you dont even know it's running, they had to put a light under the toekick to let you know it's runing. The energy efficiency feature is pretty cool too that pops the door open when it nears the end of the drying cycle.

This is the greatest dishwasher I have ever had and I have had my share over many years. It is quiet leaves dishes sooo clean and the door opens when it is finished which not only allows the steam to evaporate but lets you know it is done. Only wish I had found this appliance years ago.!!

The dishwasher is amazingly quiet and cleans the dishes very well. I sometimes have trouble loading the dishwasher. It's different from my old one and the prongs on top are at an angle which seems to make it harder to load my cereal bowl size dishes. Overall it is an excellent appliance.

Works as advertised. At first I thought the Internet connectivity was jyst a gimmick, but now I appreciate it. Gives access to information and settings not available on the front panel. As everyone says, drying is an issue, but not a fatal one.

The dishwasher is excellent at cleaning dishes thoroughly. The auto air dry cycle does not dry the inside completely but as the program pops the door open slightly after the cycle things dry out after a while. It is an energy saving feature.

This dishwasher worked beautifully for one year and then started leaving a film on almost everything that I put into it. We tried cleaning pods, vinegar, hotter water, etc. with not success. Am now waiting for the extended warranty to reply to my repair request.

So far this has proved to be a great dishwasher, but not super intuitive if you are upgrading from an older model. We had to call customer services to help us troubleshoot (which shouldn't be necessary for individuals in their mid 30's!). On the flip side I actually find this easiest to operate by using the app, which isn't ideal for other members in my household. Hoping with time we will all become pros at operating this dishwasher!

I bought this to replace a 14 year old Bosch dishwasher that I was real happy with that was getting tired. It does an excellent job of washing dishes and is super quiet. I really like the 3rd rack addition. Now what I don't like. I do not like having to do a reset when I want to change from the settings I have used previously. I should be able to touch on and then select the program I want and then push start and close it. By the way I really like the auto air feature too where the door opens when the cycle is completed.

Overall, I am very pleased with our new Bosch Dishwasher. This is our first Bosch appliance. I did a lot of research and read many reviews posted by Lowe's, Home Depot, Consumer Reports, and the internet. So, I was aware of some pros and cons before purchasing. A big selling point to me was the enclosed leak protection versus just a leak detector; especially because so many mid to higher priced dishwashers had so many complaints about leaking. In fact I first ordered a Kitchenaid which had very nice features but also had so many customer complaints about leakage and also condensation dripping from the door handle. I liked what I read about the overall quality of the Bosch compared to what was available in my price range. Also, when I compared various brands in the store which were at a similar price they didn't have as good reviews and I also liked the way the dish racks slide out nice and smooth. And, I Love the third upper shelf. I read many people feel it can sometimes get in the way of dishes on the middle rack but I have not had that issue. I love that I can just open the door part way and not have to bend down and pop in silverware throughout the day or while I am cooking I also like how it gives extra room for silverware and utensils. We have had the dishwasher for about 2 months and it cleans and drys very well and is super quiet. Also this particular model does have the optional Home Connect feature which I knew going in that some people had issues if they did not have a good wi-fi connection. I have good wi-fi in my area so that is not a problem for me. However, it was a little tricky for me to set things up initially primarily because the quick start guide and the instruction booklet in my opinion left out some more detailed instructions. When I went online to read the pdf instruction booklet it was more informative. Especially for controlling the dishwasher manually. The online manual clarified that you have to "repeatedly" press the buttons to "cycle" through the settings. And, so far I have not found out a way to manually use the "auto-air" drying feature where the door automatically pops open at the end of drying. (I Love this feature). So. I am using the Home Connect feature to program and run the dishwasher.....which I actually find kind of Fun to use. It has a very helpful "Bosch-Assistant" which has been very helpful for some of the operating questions I have had as I am still getting acquainted with my new Bosch.
I went with the white over the stainless because I have other white appliances and even though I had to wait a bit longer for delivery I am very glad I waited because it looks lovely. One thing I think I would have preferred are front facing controls instead of controls on the top but with the Home Connnect I can see where the cycle is at or when it will be completed
The reason for the 4 Stars instead of 5 is because of the initial set up instructions and the fact that a few of the extra options are Only available through the Home Connect app. Whereas, I do believe the higher end Bosch models give access to All the features using the app but also manually
All in all, I am very happy with my new Bosch dishwasher😍

I like the top rack that my old one didn't have. Wish it had a timer display like my old one, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Overall excellent machine.

We purchased the 500 series, specifically for the "auto door open" feature at the end of the cycle. It is quiet, seems to wash dishes very well, and really like the small upper rack for silverware and small items. The automatic door open feature has been somewhat unreliable. Several times it only opened a half inch or so. I put some lubricant on the lower hinges, hopefully that will help

This is our second Bosch dishwasher. We love the third rack and ease of movement of all the racks including moving them up and down. We also like the hidden buttons because our grandson likes pushing buttons 😀 The light that shines on the floor is a great addition because the dishwasher is so quiet, it's difficult to tell when it is running. All this and it cleans the dishes spotlessly.

We somehow went our whole lives without a dishwasher. When we were able to afford one my wife did her homework and we chose the best. Were super happy with it. My 14 yr. old Bosch dishwasher had to be replace because the handle was broken and no longer being manufactured! The new one is everything the old one was and much more. I love the auto air feature that opens the door when the cycle is completed. I can turn it on, go to bed, and it turns off automatically and opens the door--I wake up to clean, dry dishes. And it's quiet! Can't say enough good things.

I am glad this dishwasher has a light that shines on the floor when it's on or I wouldn't even know, it's so quiet. Didn't think I would like the 3rd rack (never had one before), but I am getting used to it and find it fairly handy. Also love the adjustability of the other racks. You can move the middle one up or down and the tines in 2 of the racks can be folded down if they are in the way of something. Still learning all of the features as I have only run it 3 or 4 times so far, but overall I am very happy with my purchase.

This is my third Bosch dishwasher and definitely my go to brand. I had a little difficulty at the beginning because my dishes were coming out spotted and wet. After some investigation I quit using "normal" setting that I had used in the last model and used "auto" and "auto air" and "sanitize." Dishes came out perfect but it took 4 hours. So then I switched to "auto" and "auto air" and dishes still come out great in just under 3 hours. I love the third shelf and adjustability of the shelves. I have recommended Bosch to my family.

I am beyond pleased with my new dishwasher. It is quiet, gets ALL the dishes clean without pre-rinsing, has adjustable racks and prongs, and the very helpful "Auto Air" feature that pops the door open when the cycle is done to vent the unit and speed up the drying process. This is my 3rd Bosch dishwasher and the best yet!

Still getting used to the 500. We've had it 4 weeks now. Initial install was a pain in the rear. Old waser was hard wired. This one came with a plug, so I had to buy an additional Bosch product ($30+) to be able to connect the power. I have laminated mdf counter tops. The plastic strip that is supposed to stick to under the counter wouldn't adhere. I had to buy a clear sealing product to seal the underside of my counter. All the connections are on the back of the washer, rather than reachable from the front. So, unless you have access to behind the dishwasher after it is pushed in under the counter, than you're crossing your fingers nothing is kinked. Once hooked up, the instructions on the differences between the various cycles not very detailed. Also, they aren't all available from the control panel. To get access to everything you have to connect through the app. No thanks. The top 3rd rack is great. That's where we now load our silverwear. And good thing too, because the other two racks are narrower than our former dishwasher, so we have to run more often as there isn't as much room. On our former unit, we'd load two rows of big cups/glasses (pint sized), two rows smaller cups/glasses (half pint), and the middle row was bowls. In the 500, rows 2 & 4 are narrower so the smaller cups don't fit very well, and are pushed by the bowls. So we can't get as much stuff into the 500...
It is quiet, and the dishes come out clean. The 2nd thing being the most important, but we are having to run it more often.
