This is the best dishwasher I've ever owned. It has flexible, stable loading and is so quiet that when you turn it on, the sound level in the kitchen seems to drop! It replaced a 5 year old GE Profile whose motherboard failed. There is no comparison between the quality of the two. The Bosch wins hands down.

Have had the dishwasher for a little over a month and love it. Quietest machine I've ever used or seen. Really like the upper silverware drawer. It makes loading much easier. Also appreciate the side to side adjustability of the center drawer. It has done a great job of cleaning anything we put in it.

I don't know what style dishes this was designed for, but definitely not mine. The tines on lower rack are adjustable but my bowls don't fit either way. It runs quietly and cleans well but you can't load it efficiently. I would not recommend for the price.

Great dishwasher. Had a Bosch before this lasted over 12 year, not as quiet. The only fault with these type of dish washers is that certain type of glasses will not dry properly, there is always water left over in the divet on the bottom of the glass.

Honestly, anything would have been better than the 16 year old dishwasher we replaced. We love being able to scrape, load, and let the items sit until we have a full load and the dishes are clean. The buttons were confusing to us (thank heavens for the internet). The drawback we found is not being able to put dinner plates on the bottom and water bottles on the top rack ( the top rack hits the top of the plates).

Bosch Representative came for fixing the Dishwasher, But it is not fixed and when i called back the customer service to check, they have provided the next appointment was after 3 weeks later. I explained that i need to do manually. But they did not listen

My 20-year old Maytag dishwasher handle broke for the second time. Repairing the handle was not an option as the part needed was discontinued. After reading many reviews on dishwashers, Bosch was the clear winner. I decided the Bosch 5oo Series SHP865ZD5N/01. I was use to rinsing my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Even though I did this, sometimes there was baked on food or food particles in the drinking glasses after running the dishwasher. With the Bosch dishwasher, I have not rinsed any dishes. I have had starchy dishes that have set overnight in the sink. The dishes came out sparkling clean. I am impressed with the performance of the Bosch dishwasher! I would highly recommend the Bosch brand.

We just moved into our new home complete with new appliances. We just love our Bosh Dishwasher. We are still shocked by how quiet this dishwasher is while running. In fact, it is so quite they have a red light that shines on the floor to indicate it's running! Dishes always come out perfect even when loaded straight in with no pre-rinse. Great machine!

The inside is a bit smaller than my older dishwasher so am learning how to load efficiently. Love the way it cleans and dries. I do like a handle on the outside, but if I grab the inset one just right, I don't leave fingerprints.

After having a very bad experience with another manufacturer's dishwasher model that we had less than six months, we have been extremely pleased with our new Bosch 500 series dishwasher. It has worked really well and is very efficient in cleaning and drying. We highly recommend Bosch appliances!

We recently replaced our Meille with a new Bosch Dishwasher and could not be happier. It quieter and does an excellent job of cleaning all our dishes and cutlery. Just love all the options with racks that fold down which accommodates all sizes.

I recently replaced my old Bosch dishwasher with a new model. I really like the new configuration of the interior and the way I'm able to taylor it for my needs is really good. I also love the feature of the open-door at the end of the cycle which allows the moisture to escape and dry the dishes well. And being able to put plastic on the bottom without it melting is another plus. Great dishwasher and improvements.

It is very quiet and cleans great. I love the rinse feature. I can rinse just a few dishes in under 10 minutes so that they don't sit too long before I can accumulate enough for a full load. I wish it turned itself automatically but it's really not a big deal if you forget. It just stays lit.

We do love our Bosch dishwasher but one cannot load objects taller than about 5 inches in middle rack. Bottom rack is not designed for anything except plates and soup bowls. Top rack is silverware and spatulas only. It's not a terrible problem but it pokes me in the eye every day.

This is a new purchase.
A key selling point the salesperson made on my Model 500 was the Auto Air feature that automatically opens the door at the cycle end to aid in drying. The door did not open. The repairman's first visit could not find the problem and he even called Bosch repair for a reason and was told it could be one of 3 things...the mother board, the door seal, and the door latch. He ordered all 3 items and 2 weeks later, installed the new parts. The unit still did not function properly. Another call to the Borsch repair group mentioned the factory setting for the Auto Air is off. The repairman did not know this, the salesperson did not know this, even the sales manager at The Appliance Factory where I purchased the unit did not know this.
As a key function of this model, why would the factory setting be "off?" It seems backwards and caused myself and the repair people time and money. The process took 4 weeks.
Nice unit, does a very good job, very quiet. Very backward thinking on the "factory setting" thing.

This dishwasher is so very quiet I really can't hear it. Very glad the red light in the floor indicates it's on. The manual and subsequent emails have really shown me how to load it, especially the silverware, to get the best use of the appliance. The dishes are so clean it's almost unbelievable I had ordered a less than top of the line dishwasher which hadn't come in when my itchen was done. So when my salesman said the top of line was in stock I rushed to the store to pay the difference-gladly. This was the one I wanted. I love it.

We researched, we talked, we looked, we purchased and we waited and waited and waited - like 6 months for a shipment to arrive. It is so quiet we have to listen carefully to determine if it is on. Or we look at the well-designed red floor light. The only problem I've noted is that glasses or vases more than 5.5 inches tall must be placed on the bottom rack - which is not designed for those shapes. It's annoying but all in all, not a big deal.

Never again. The first machine came with a defective water pump. Replaced with new machine. In less than a year after the original was replaced, the water heat pump failed on the replacement. First machine came with bent rack too. Not reliable, to say the least. Really disappointed in Bosch.

Thank Bosch for the little red light at the bottom right corner that glows n my kitchen floor. If it wasn't for this light I wouldn't know it was running. The automatic door open at end of the cycle reminds us that the dishes are squeaky clean and ready to be used again. 2 thumbs up.

Seem great. We took out the silverware holder and just wash them all on the top rack which gives us extra space on the bottom rack. The top rack arrived broken (one side doesn't tilt) ans because there was a long delay between delivery and installation, we couldn't seek warranty replacement. But honestly I don't think we would have used that feature anyway

This is my second Bosch dishwasher. First one was all sorts of disappointing but this baby is perfect! The top rack gets silverware and utensils spotless. Racks are perfectly measured for varying glassware, bowls and heavy pans. And it's SO economical with water we've reduced water usage by running the dishwasher more frequently and doing less hand washing. It's quiet and center filter cleans up easily, no need to pre rinse. Front wipes clean-no special cleansers needed-just a warm towel maybe a touch of white vinegar. Unloading is remarkably quick too.

I love this dishwasher it has so much space and everything comes out clean I love the speed cycle and auto air. I have been only using for two months so I can't say if I am saving money on electricity but it do easy to run every night and the red dot that tells you it is running is great too.
If you are on the edge just buy it

Took 4 months to get this dishwasher. I think I expected more. I am not in love with the top rack for silverware, however using it does eliminate silverware caddy making more room for dishes in bottom wrack. Don't love adjustable middle drawer. Found no real value to the collapsible day dividers either. All in all, my dishes are very clean and it is very very quiet. Not a fan of stainless, was under the impression it wasn't stainless and fingerprints are a real drawback.
