The machine runs great. Really quiet. But for $1000.00 you can include a $5.00 manual on how to run it. Instead of having to go on line and have one hell of a time trying to figure out the codes. Just charge me a little more but not nclude an operation manual!!!

QUIET, a few small nits

Love this dishwasher. It's very quiet, and overall super nicely made. We've used a 300 series that has a 30 min short cycle. This one, a 500 series, has a 60 min option as the shorted cycle -- but when we select the automatic door opener at end of cycle option, it adds almost an hour to the cycle. Defeats the short cycle intention (use more energy). Love the automatic door open option right after a cycle so the dishes can air dry a bit, but the door doesn't open half of the time, so far the month we've used it. We've owned an 800 series and that auto-open-door option works consistently. Oddly none of Bosch dishwasher dry the dishes when using a short cycle (all we use, we are energy conscious). All in all, the quietness of a Bosch dishwasher is worth it to us.

This dishwasher is pretty much the best blend of all features. It has the stainless steel inner tub for better drying (over plastic interior), auto door open feature for great final drying, and the third level shelf for utensiles. This washer is also very quiet and has plenty of various settings for delay, half load wash, rapid wash, heavy duty wash, and more. The rapid was is still about 2.5 hours which is almost pointless to me, but it may be reduced further by changing the drying settings. While I love the clean look of the face, the downside to upward facing buttons that are hidden is that you cannot see the timer to know how much time if left in a cleaning cycle.

Quiet and thorough

This dishwasher is incredibly quiet and cleans even baked on casserole dishes thoroughly. We've only used the auto function, and have stopped pre-rinsing. Everything gets done in about 2 hours, less than my previous unit, even though we run it only every few days. The racks slide out smoothly without banging all the dishes around. I wish it dried a little more thoroughly, knocking off a star. I did not get the model with the extra dry function. But this is not a deal-breaker.

The dishwasher is very quiet and seems to to a good job cleaning the dishes. However, it does not do a great job dryng plastic cups. Loading the dishwasher has been a bit of a challenge. It is very different than our old dishwasher and I understand it may take several tries to get the best arrangement. The movable tines have pluses and minuses. The middle rack is the most difficult on to figure out. Also the "large utensil" buckets are fine if you use them. But if not (and remove them), a lot of wasted space. But still a good dishwasher. The installation instructions were OK, but a few more words to go with the pictures would have made it more understanable.

I had a Bosch dishwasher before this for 11 years. I loved it. It worked wonderfully and was so easy to operate. This panel is much more complicated, as in trying to get more heat because there was too much condensation left after all night. It makes weird sounds when it runs. It doesn't get the glasses *sparkly* clean like the old one. I use Finish and same water, same house. I don't like the catch for the door. The other was a release lock. I also found out, after the fact, that this is a discontinued model. So all in all I will not buy another Bosch. I know for sure I won't get 11 years out of this one.

Love This Dishwasher

We love this dishwasher! Due to the past two year "supply chain disruptions," we had to wait a very long time for this model to appear in white. It was worth the wait. This washer performs very well and is exceptionally quiet. The old, chronic Bosch wet dish and glass symptom has been overcome through a unique "door opening" feature that lets excess steam vent after washing. With all the automatic sensors and features, we wish that there was a "low rinse aid" sensor to advise on refilling. If there is one, we can't find it or figure it out. Racks are nice, with an adjustable center rack. Wish the small object clips came with this model (they don't).

I had been researching dishwashers for quite some time. Finally settled on the Bosch 500 series in white, with pocket handle and top controls. Right in the middle on the pandemic though, so was an 8 month wait period. Finally got it delivered and installed. It is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. First and foremost, it cleans very well using Cascade Complete packs. Second, it is extremely quite. I can finally watch movies and TV with the dishwasher running and not ever hear it. Third, seems really well built, I love the stainless basin. Installation was quite easy. It is worth the price tag, should keep this for quite a long time.

Our 17 y/o DW died and I needed a new DW. So many D/W's don't do a good job and I had no time to research which one to buy. A friend's husband had gotten a new D/W and spent a lot of time researching their DW. They got the Bosche and have had it for several years and it still works well and they still love it. That was research enough for me since I have no time to do research with a sick husband but needed the DW. I love the top tray that you use for utensils.

I didn't realize how good a dishwasher could be until I got this one. It is so quiet you need the red light to tell you it's on. The 3 racks hold so much more than my old dishwasher. I wasn't sure I'd use the top rack much, but I do! And I scrape but don't wash dishes and they come out CLEAN! No dryer heating element means plastics can go on bottom rack which is a nice perk. I usually use the Auto Dry feature and dishes are dry in the morning. I am using it for mixing bowls and other things I'd have hand washed before. Just overall an excellent purchase.

Good Mid-range with annoyances

This white dishwasher was chosen to match our white cabinet doors. If the 800 Series had a white option that would have been a better choice. The install went smoothly, although the instructions lacked speific details. The main annoyance is that when you close the door it sits ajar until you firmly push to latch it closed. This is due to the auto-air drying feature. The secondary annoyance is the control panel "safety" feature that disables the programmed wash cycle if you open the door. A button has to be pressed to re-enable the program. This is most annoying when a delayed wash cycle is programmed and the door is opened to add more items. Unfortunately the floor indicator light is not displayed when a delayed wash cycle is programmed, only when the wash cycle actually starts.

Only have the dishwasher 2 months but so far results are good. - Cleans well, even items on fold out side racks - Dries well, as long as dishes are not loaded in such a way to collect a puddle on them - So quit we don't know it's running - 3rd rack for silverware and large spoons, etc. is a great addition, so we can remove the normal silverware baskets and gain more space for dishes. - Still learning how to load it, but getting used to it. - Having no heating coils allows more plastic items and eliminates risk of damaging them

Sent my wife out on a mission, and she came back with this unit. We went back to Best Buy to check it out and it had all the features we needed. Picked it up that day and installed it right away. It is super quiet, we joke that we don't even know it's on if it wasn't for the Red spot on the floor that it casts. It replaced an old Kenmore that was 20 years old. This cleans dishes very well, actually they haven't felt this clean in a long time. Highly recommend this unit.

My previous dishwasher was a Kenmore Elite and it was in the house when I bought it, and apparently dated back to 1994. It was a FANTASTIC dishwasher and I was very hesitant to replace it, as I was worried I wouldn't find one as good. Finally it was time as it was nearing the end of its life....Some wise friends said to look into Bosch, and I did - I decided on this model based on review, and I am so happy I did! My dishwasher is in about a month now and I'm so pleased with it! It's by far the quietest dishwasher I've ever experienced - I wouldn't even know it was on except for the red light. And it does a FABULOUS job, no rinsing required! I love the additional top rach which I use for cooking utensils rather than silverware. Overall I am very pleased with this dishwasher and I will definitely be recommending Bosch to friends and family.

I have been using the Bosch 500 for about a month and so far am very pleased with it. I really like the way that it loads -- very versatile and laid out well. The best thing is how quiet it is. We don't even know it is running! It has had a slight odor that I know others have mentioned however, I threw some baking soda in the bottom of it after I emptied it the last time -- let it set a couple of days and ran it when I had it full again -- that washed the baking soda down the lines as well. I believe that has solved the problem. The only negative that I have found is the way the liquid Jet Dry fills. You really can't tell when it needs refilling or how full it is when you are refilling it. My old dishwasher did have a fill line that you could see so you could tell when you needed to add more and how much to add. Bosch could improve on that but otherwise, I am very pleased.

This is our second Bosch. The first didn't need replaced but we redid the kitchen so we got another one. We love the light that shows it is running. We miss the drying cycle our old one had but could only get the lower model in white. Still it cleans great and will always stick to Bosch dishwashers.

I never trusted any dishwasher to clean thoroughly. Avoided using dishwashers, only as drying racks. Always rinsed everything before putting into the dishwasher. NO MORE....Now I am a true convert. Have not rinsed anything since my first test run on my new BOSCH 500 series dishwasher. Love it! Am now convinced rinsing is just a waste of water and time and energy. Couldn't recommend a better dishwasher. Can't tell that it is on without looking - it is sooooo quiet.

I don't know if it's just because technology has passed us by on the dishwasher front for so many years but when our old Bosch dishwasher died after 15 years we bought this one and we were blown away. Innovations like the top silverware and small items tray, racks that actually hold pans, dries almost all plastic items, and is literally whisper quiet. There is a small red light that shines on the floor under the door when it's running. If not for that light you wouldn't even know it's running. My wife and I both recommend this dishwasher.

We bought a new 500 series dishwasher about a month ago and, since I'm a DIYer, I installed it myself. The installation went very smoothly. Out old dishwasher was hardwired, so I also ordered the conversion kit for the new dishwasher. The kit has all the parts I needed, it was easily installed, and my wife had a new dishwasher in no time. She wasn't sure she liked the top silverware rack, so we kept the old rack as well. After a couple uses she discarded the old one and now I have a new tool holder in the garage.

We love our new dishwasher! It is so so quiet that the first time we used it I had to check that it was running. The third row holds all my silverware and we took out the bottom silverware holders. We actually start running out of dishes. Best feature in my mind is the auto open at the end to cool clean dishes faster.

This dishwasher has performed excellently, but the Auto Air function stopped working about 3 months after installation. Thankfully, we set up a (free) service visit from Bosch and it was fixed. We are hoping that the issue is fully resolved because the Auto Air feature is one of the best things about this model.

The wife loves this dishwasher! It is very quiet, and you sometimes don't even know it is working until it starts draining water. We used the Finish sample that came with the dishwasher and the dishes come out shining! Very impressive! The top tray is also very useful for larger utensils. My wife has also purposely loaded up with dishes that were much dirtier than she normally would and they still came out sparkling. Very pleased with this purchase

Easy installation - unbelievably quite operation If not for the red led shinning on the floor you would never know when the unit is running. Does a good job of cleaning dishes. 3rd rack for silverware is a great feature and allows you to put knives in dishwasher without worry of dulling the edges. Only 4 stars at this point because unit is only one month old.
