This is the 3rd Bosch diswasher I've had in the last 23 years. The first lasted 8 years before a major repair; the 2nd went 15 years. We have been sold on Bosch, so it was just a matter of which one, and if we could even find one with the current supply chain issues. After being told that the it would be an eight week wait for the pocket handle model, we found one online that had the towel bar which is the model I wanted but hadn't been able to find. We had our handyman install it with no issues and it has surpassed all that I was told about this diswasher. I chose the 800 series because I wanted the crystal dry feature - and it really dries, even plastic! Thank goodness there is a red light that shines on the floor to let us know it is running; it truly is so quiet I often am sure sure it is really washing. I know it's rated at about 42 db, but when I've checked it with a decibel measuring app, it was about 37 or 38 db. I love the 3rd rack, it gets those odd shaped or long utensils out of the way. I wanted a black diswasher, but only the black stainless steel was available which I was't familiar with, and it is beautiful. I'm trying to think of something I don't like about it....even though it's a little pricey, it's in the ballpark for this quality. I wish Costco carried Bosch, I buy everything I can from Costco, but went to Best Buy because I was determined to have this particular diswasher. I even enjoy emptying it! Great appliance, very pleased with this purchase.
