Love it when it works

Had for less than 2 years and has failed due to manufacturing defects twice now. Unnecessarily difficult repeated phone calls to LG and partner to get repaired through LGs third party partners. LG keeps texting me asking if repair is complete but cant get the partner to schedule. Currently the unit will power up but immediately powers itself down. Been trying for two weeks to get someone out. Not fun to be out a dishwasher during the holidays.

Could have been better

I have had dishwasher for 3 1/2 years. I was disappointed to have several problems already. My past dishwashers have lasted much longer without problems. They were not LG products Also one year warranty ended 2 months after it was delivered and installed in my new home.

Didnt last long before needing expensive repair

Meh. Pretty design and quiet features worked well at first. BUT it stopped working after about 18 months. After spending $1300 on a dishwasher I expected a LOT better experience than this Ive never had a dishwasher break ever including one that I owned for over 12 years. Clearly this one was made with cheap parts. Very disappointed.

Garbage quality constantly breaking down

We have had this dishwasher for less than a year and have had a service tech out to try to fix leaking 3 times and it is still leaking. The prongs that hold the plates up dont stay in place at all and the wine glass holder is mostly useless because it pops out of place. Almost everything that seems like it would be a nice feature on this dishwasher is complete garbage.

Water hisses loudly when first started and everytime unit needs water. Unit drones loudly like a speaker with too much base. You can actually hear the water inside spraying at times during the cycle. Also any dirty item on upper or lower rack in the corners do not get cleaned. Must pre clean silverware that has peanut butter or egg yolk on it.

Close to perfect

Id love to give this five stars because its better than good but its not excellent or without flaws. I had a three drawer KitchenAid that I loved in my last house. I bought this house last year and could not find the same one. Nor did I like the new KitchenAid or Bosch options so I went with this LG. It is extremely quiet and cleans well but it also takes a really long time like three hours Even the quick cleaning settings arent quick. I love the drawers and all the options to move pegs and even move drawers up and down. Though I wished the pegs didnt move on their own so easily. There is a large capacity Ive yet to find anything I cant fit on the bottom if I lower the pegs. She silverware holes are a bit too small as my large forks and spoons do not fit in them so I have to use the utensil bins open. I much prefer the utensil slots that separate them for cleaning. The light is a necessity and it goes off way too soon. Its great if youre opening to add a dish or two but when doing the dishes after dinner it goes off long before Im done. Id love a setting option to leave this on while the door is open or at least extend the auto off so it doesnt go off so quickly. It cant be on for more than 30 seconds to a minute. The app feedback is wonderful I appreciate the reminders to clean my filter and run a dishwasher cleaner through it.

Black Stainless is a FAKE

I bought this dishwasher in 2018. Its very quiet however the control panel cracked soon after the purchase. I also made the mistake of purchasing the black stainless to which there is NO touch-up paint and the coating comes off and LG doesnt stand behind any of the dishwasher product. Ive reached out to the Office of the President months ago and havent received any response. Unfortunately I own a kitchen full of LG and I wont make that mistake again.

Beautiful functional dishwasher

This dishwasher was a little hard to figure out at first. I love the top rack even though I forget things are in there sometimes. I gave it four stars because it does not hold nearly as much as my last dishwasher. The racks can fold down and they sometimes tip over and the middle of the bottom rack doesnt have any racks at all. Cups tip over and break in this dishwasher. Also the bottom corner was damaged during shipping and it has a small leak I didnt notice for many months.

I bought the dishwasher and it worked great until one day when it was about 3 years old and it just will not turn on. The main control board has a 5 year warranty but the warranty does not cover labor. So Im waiting and waiting to get it fixed. I can update review if and when its working again.

Huge improvement over old diswasher

We bought this LG Dishwasher almost 2 months ago. There is really nothing bad we can say about it. Our prior dishwasher was 20 years old and the improvements on this LG are amazing. A short list would be that is does a great job washing it is very quiet we love the 3rd rack and the adjustments on all racks it is easy to use yet has a ton of options we usually just hit Auto and let it do its thing anymore and it does a great job of dying even though it oesnt have a heating element. We really like It

Ran into issues the minute the warranty expired

Decent features good looking quiet. However a few months after the warranty expired the heating coil burnt out then the LG tech who came out to fix it caused a different issue which is that now it wont level. LG customer service has been an absolute disaster. I really hope to never buy an LG appliance again because my LG oven also developed an error at almost the same time

Less space and different setup

I dont like how the layout is. The bowls dont stand upright on the middle rack. The lower rack is smaller than my previous dishwasher. The machine works well and cleans good. Need to adapt to new layout for how to fit all my dishes in.

My dishwasher still does not work

I bought a dishwasher and we hardly use it. When we try using it it would turn off within 30 seconds of the cycle. A tech came out and said the control board needs to be replaced but he was unsure. Now the part is on back order and I have a brand new dishwasher that does not work.

I am embarrassed to say I bought this appliance for a reason I never dreamed I would use - it was the only black stainless steel dishwasher the three store company had. It was important that I have the appliance quickly and that it fit in with the other major appliances. It was great serendipity It is efficient easy to use quiet energy efficient and cleans incredibly well. I really like it and am happy I stumbled into purchasing this appliance. I had done my research for a new dishwasher was aware of this product and its good reputation. But the final choice for selecting it was because it is what I needed and it was available when I needed it. It was a very lucky day for me Any time I have to replace appliances I will always keep LG on the top of the list Experience with the product has been the best recommendation

Ive owned LG dishwashers before and this is the most expensive one Ive purchased. I thought splurging for a nicer model would result in cleaner dishes but this hasnt been the case. There is always stuck on food after the wash cycle. I have always scraped dishes before going in the dishwasher but little things like dried ketchup dont come clean. I did all the troubleshooting in the manual but nothing helped. I finally called for service and the technician said nothing was wrong with the unit. Im disappointed so now I scrub everything before it goes in the dishwasher I guess that kind of defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher but Im just looking at it as Im sterilizing with the dishwasher now not cleaning.

This is the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned. The only positive is that its quiet. I have tried many suggestions on how to maximize its cleaning abilities to no avail. It simply does not clean the dishes. I have given up and started washing dishes by hand. We bought a package of LG appliances: dishwasher stove and refrigerator. The refrigerator has been ok but the stove/oven and dishwasher are horrible. I will never buy another LG product. Im sure LG will give me the same generic response as they have every other complaint if you read the reviews.

Lasted exactly three years

We purchased this dishwasher in Nov. of 2019 and it has worked relatively well since then. Early on a section of the digital display malfunctioned and about a quarter of the display no longer lights up. The real problem started about a month ago when the motor started making a load buzzing noise. We had a service tech come in to fix it under the extended warranty and he said that as long as the unit still cycled LG wouldnt approve the repair. For the price we had hoped to get more than three years of use out of it. It looks like well be waiting for the Black Friday sale to get another dishwasher and it wont be a LG.

An exceptional dishwasher

I purchased the dishwasher a few weeks ago and have been impressed by how well it cleans and how amazingly quiet it is. And I really appreciate the lighted internal section that is even more useful than I expected. It was easy to setup wi-fi and there are lots of washing/drying options to choose from. There are three small leds on the front centered just above the handle which show status at a glance. They consist of red white and green. White displays when working and green when complete. Red indicates a fault which I hope to never see This is just another small but useful feature. I would have to say I am very pleased with this purchase so far.

Went all LG appliances looking for quality

Having mixed feelings right now about LG. We have 2 LG tvs an LG fridge washer and dryer and the latest purchase was a dishwasher. Up until recently we have been HUGE fans of LG. The dishwasher is just barely a year old and about a month ago HE started flashing on the door. My husband looked it up and it means the heater for the steam is not working. We are still waiting for a repair person to come. Its been frustrating to get someone in the Tallahassee area to work on LG appliances. The dishwasher overall does a decent job up until the heater went out. Hopefully this wont be a regular issue. We went all LG thinking we were buying quality appliances and even had to wait long periods of time to get delivery due to the pandemic. We have also had issues with the craft icemaker on the fridge. That has been fixed twice now and its out again but they are sending a new one.

It was great for two years.

I bought this dishwasher two years ago and it worked great. One month after the warranty ended the electronic display didnt work right. Nothing major - few things not lighting up. And one morning I opened the dishwasher and immediately could tell something was wrong. The self diagnostic said it was a motor issue. I tried restarting it and immediately smelled a burning smell so I turned it back off. Called LG and they have been great helping me resolve it. They sent a repairman who said the motor burned out along with the wiring. Its a little scary thinking it could have caught fire while we slept. We are waiting on parts and I dont know how much it will cost to fix. If its too much I will get a new one but probably not LG. Dishwashers should last more than 2 years.
