I bought this last year on October 28 2023 i thought LG was a good brand but come to find out this is pretty bad washer major leak and LG tech unresponsive calls after calls no one want to do anything. Now is a month into the problem and hasnt been fix.

Just got it delivered a few days ago. The delivery and installation people were great Ive done several loads already and I love it The wi-fi feature is nice too so I can know when a load is finished even if Im out of earshot of the signal on the washer itself.

Poor customer service

I bought this product after renovating my basement. I was so excited to use it. I noticed a small water leak in the drawer under the washing machine but when I went behind it there was a lot of water leak that caused a mold on my new finished wall. I contacted the plumber to check it and he couldnt find anything wrong from his part and he asked me to call the seller. Which I did. Of course I had to go through many questions and verifications for them to book an appointment for someone to come and check it. Even with the warranty they will make it so hard and time consuming to get to someone who will be welling to come to your area. The tech came and spent almost an hour to check and couldnt find the problem. Then he blamed it on the number of the cleaning pods that I use. Which didnt make sense to me. Now I have to check behind the machine each time I have to use it. Now they assigned the problem to another tech and they gave me a window from be 8-5 so that means I have to cancel another day of work to solve this issue. I just wish that I kept my old machine.

Buyers beware

The drum failed before it was even a year old. LG sent a technician to my home who said these machines sometimes do that and he needed to order a part. The part was supposed to arrive in two weeks in which two weeks came and went. Fast forward to over a month later and many trips to the laundromat with multiple phone calls to LG I was now being told the part was on back order and will get a call when it comes. Almost 3 months later still no part no update no nothing and the warranty is just about up shy a few days and then they dont have to do anything. Well finally after I complained to the fullest and lawyered up they decided to refund me my money for the purchase of the washing machine minus the warranty I paid for at Home Depot. This was a complete nightmare dealing with LG. Then to add insult to injury I was stuck and am still stuck with the broken washing machine because they do not come pick up their faulty product and told me to slash the serial tag submit photos to them of the slashed serial tag and then I have to find someone to remove it from my house because they dont. I am 78 years old with no one to remove their broken machine. I am never purchasing anything from LG again.

Warranty Start Date?

Due to the construction completion date of our home we ordered our washing machine/dryer duo 5 months early just be certain they would arrive by the time our home was complete. Unfortunately ten months after our brand new $3000+ washer was installed the boot failed. We found out that the warranty begins on the purchase date and not on the install date. LG told us that our washer was out of warranty and they would not repair it. WE escalated the issue to the manager and luckily LG hired a local repair center to come to our home and repair the boot. The moral to the story and a lesson going forward: if you plan to buy an LG product for your new home wait until you move in to initiate the purchase or dig deeper into your pocket and buy their extended warranty. The other obvious question why would my expensive LG Signature model washing machine fail in the first 10 months of ownership? In summary: too expensive for such an unreliable design poor warranty policy failures outside of the drive system.

Owned This Washer For Over 2 Years

I have not had any issues with the washer or matching dryer. The set still works flawlessly. My clothes are still getting cleaned and the dryer dries fast. No complaints whatsoever. I still love my set and hopes it lasts me a long long time. As I said in my previous Ive owned many sets. This is by far the best laundry set I have ever owned.

Most Efficient and Clean Washer

I am happy with this product for the most part. I was so fed up with the other washers I had. They would not wash my clothes. I would run so many loads and waste so much water for them to never wash. My clothes were always smelling stinky and sweaty like they didnt even get washed. I was extremely fed uo and upset for a very long time. It was too long I was feeling very upset and insecure about my hygiene to no fault of my own. I finally decided to splurge on this very nice Washer that I only got because it was top-rated by energy Star. Money was also a concern of mine and even though this washer was expensive by all standards it was also the most energy efficient one I saw on there and the ONLY one that was the most efficient on water usage. The reason why Im giving it a 4 stars is because there were times where it has reminded me of the old washers that not only didnt wash my clothes but also would literally bounce around side to side when doing a spin to the point it wouldnt spin and I had times where the tub would load full of water then just empty itself and stop cycle altogether. I have horror stories with those washers. Anyway this washer I had heard banging around and I was wondering why. I couldnt really think of a good reason why it would be doing this. Its only happened a couple of times and the fullest load I did when I heard these noises was I believe when I put 4 standard size pillows in there. I still felt confused just as I did with the old washers. I didnt understand why it would be banging around. I strongly dont like when washers do that because of the sound but I dont like it when they malfunction and/or dont do what theyre supposed to do ever. It makes me think that it is a shot product and wasnt meant to be put out for sale in the market. Anyway I still am going to keep this washer for as long as I can and I hope I dont keep having that problem with it It doesnt happen very often at all. Out of the 35+ loads Ive done with it already it probably only happened maybe 5 times. Id like to add that my clothes smelt so bad after having all of those washes that seemed to just make the smell problem in my clothes worse and after running loads with them in this washer it took away the smell completely. I was so happy.

Great Washer until something goes wrong

We purchased the WM9500HKA LG Signature washer 3 years ago from CostCo along with the extended warranty. The washer stopped spinning back in late April. Went through the myriad of call transfers and finally thought we had everything under control. The local service technician came out and diagnosed teh problem. We required a motor and a new Spin Basket. The motor arrived quickly but the Spin Basket had an ETA of late July. That date came and went without receiving anything from LG other than several text messages that the part was on the way. Now the technician is telling us that the Spin Basket is discontinued. I confirmed this with LG. Their response so far is to credit us the amount of the parts. Nothing else. So now we are left with a huge paperweight that is useless. I will not be buying a replacement from LG and I suggest you do the same.

I have this WM9500HKA LG Signature washer. It is 2.5 years old purchased from CostCo. I have an extended warranty through LG. It has been broken for ONE MONTH First and foremost LG Signature service was based in the USA now you get transferred and then transferred to call centers overseas The washer has a broken drain pump again and no parts are available to fix it. The servicer cannot get parts from LG. I would strongly advise you not to buy LG SIGNATURE

Works great but service is lacking.

I bought mine about 2 years ago from costco. I got their extended warranty. Good thing I did because the pump to get the water out just died. Even worse its been going on 3 weeks and the tech to replace the pump doesnt arrive till this today. Ive spent $110 on wash at the local laundromat and I only got a $50 reimbursement. It would have been less if the tech showed up with the part. I gave them a thorough description and the error code. Im a little frustrated at that this is taking so long. However when the machine is functioning it does the job very well. I love the LG app. It is very detailed and you can download different cycles.

I bought this magnificent 5.8 cubic foot washer that does it all. The large capacity makes it easy to wash comforters full bed sheets blankets and rugs. I also bought the LG 9.0 cubic foot dryer and the LG 2.4 cubic foot washer for inside the home as a secondary washer. I love LG products.

Big enough for a large family

I bought this washer when my old one broke down from too much laundry. I have 2 teenage sons and many guests in the home as well as a dog that makes keeping clothes clean extremely challenging. This washer has a large capacity tub that allows me to do one load without breaking the motor. I like the fact that it has additions jets inside that make the clothes very clean. No chewed up socks or sweatpants in this one so far. My old washer was a monster The cycles are flexible but what I most enjoy is the app and the remote start. I can switch it on from work and come home on time to dry the clothes. I once ran it with 3 duvets maybe that was a bit much but they came out clean but sopping wet. Ive washed my dogs bed and many pillows in it already. Overall it has stood by me in the last month. The future will reveal if its durable enough. So far I am happy with the purchase.

Terrible product and Terrible service

Absolutely terrible product that lasted only two years and 2 weeks and is now deemed unrepairable with a known failure point by a service technician. LG refuses to do anything about this problem. I am disgusted and disappointed at spending a huge sum of money on a deluxe model and have it last two years.

Broke after 2 years

Poor product. We have had it just over two years and it wont work. Spent a lot of time online trying to diagnose the problem. Spent money on tech to come out who couldnt do the repair. Had to contact LG again for rotor and stator part that is under 10 year warranty because our 2 year warranty just ran out. Now waiting for part to arrive. And will have to pay the tech for installation. This is ridiculous for this quality/cost of washer to not work after only 2 years.

Have had no problems with new machine. Greatly appreciate the extra capacity - especially when the kids and grand kids visit to say the least there are always several mountains of wash to tackle I am not a techie - but living in a two-story house for the first time in my life I truly value the alerts when the washer and matching dryer cycles are complete - indicating it is REALLY time to go downstairs not a dry run to find there is still a considerable amount of time required meaning an extra trip up and down the stairs

Leak Property Damage Abysmal Service

I owned this washer for approximately 1 month. The washer worked fine for this period of time. After one month during a wash the machine leaked the entire contents of the washer directly out of the back of the machine and flooded both my laundry room and garage with approximately 1 of water. I spent a day cleaning my garage to mitigate water damage and am currently in the midst of dealing with Customer Service. LG Customer care has been wildly helpful so far and has refused to go further than sending an email to their service providers. Any time you ask to speak to a manager you are simply redirected back to beginning of the phone service menu. Im attaching photos from the damage to the trim in my laundry room and garage. Unfortunately I didnt take any photos while the flooding was occurring so you cant see how deep the water was only where it leached into the trim. We have a damage claim in but LG hasnt even provided me a claim number and dodges the question when I cask about the claim.

We bought this washer and dryer set from Costco. In less than 2 years the washer broke down 3 times. The break downs were disappointing because my wife really liked this set. She could wash what seemed like 2 loads of laundry in 1 wash definitely a time saver. They were repaired under warranty 2 times control panel once and water pump the other. The last time the washer broke I loaded them up and took them back to Costco. We are going to try some Samsungs

Was still under warranty and Costco concierge helped me out with it. Was fixed and running with in a week. Great product.

Curious device that needs more thought put into it

I spent $5000US for this washer and dryer LG Signature combo. It is an OK product at best. The drain pump failed recently and cost more than $400 to repair. It has some strange design decisions that nobody at LG can seem to answer. For example most of the modes simply do not use enough water. In Normal mode it *never* uses enough water. It is evident by the fact that the recirculation pump barely has enough water to draw on. Moreover there is always left over soap after multiple extra rinse cycles because the machine doesnt use enough water to clear out the soap as a design decision. I follow the recommended amount of soap per the instruction manual and per the multiple technicians that have come out to diagnose these issues. Also the SMART GRID feature is essentially a lie. The manual has very scant data about it and contacting LG resulted in a vague response about how I should essentially contact my utility provider ... I am curious to see the underlying code and whether it does anything at all. All in all the machine works when using the right mix of settings but it isnt a world class system by any means particularly given the ridiculous cost and I *love* wasting money on appliances. Also the LG ThinQ app is rife with bugs. Sometimes it shows the device as disconnected other times it shows the wrong wash cycle or takes forever to update. The Remote Start feature is quite useless since it has to be enabled in advance and remains locked. So I cannot think of an occasion in which this would be useful or helpful. I joined the LG Insiders Collective and nobody from LG personally responds to or listens to anything Ive posted or asked about. It is evident that there isnt anyone high-up at LG who is interested in soliciting opinions from customers. Otherwise I wouldnt be here posting a two star review -- these items would have been addressed long ago by someone in corporate. I am only posting this review because I was sent an auto-email requesting that I do so. So here we are.

Let me preface this review to say that I have had LG products in the past and have been most satisfied. This washer however is honestly the second worst product I have EVER purchased.....second only to the matching LG Dryer that I purchased at the same time With the washer there were about a half dozen service calls to determine why it wouldnt work. The service tech replaced the circuit board I think twice only to finally discover that there was a bad wiring harness. If that werent enough the water pump have been replace 3 or 4 times Most out of warranty and out of pocket. The matching dryer has had 3 or 4 blower motors replaced Also mostly out of pocket These are PREMIUM EXPENSIVE units that I can be rest assured that about every 6 months I will need more repairs

We purchased this top of the line washer in 2018 thinking LG would have a lifetime warranty on this. We had an extended warranty on it and didnt renew and what do you know. A few months later the outer tub cracked flooding my laundry room. I contacted LG about it and they didnt seem to care other than sending me some rediculous document requiring all these photos ect. I sent them a couple but that wasnt good enough. Im sorry I was more concerned about getting water out of my house than being on my phone. They time these warranties just long enough to collect your money and let it crap out after it expires. We didnt have issues with it until this happened and otherwise was fine. I miss the days of having good quality products that lasted decades. Now everything is junk doesnt matter what you pay for it.

Ive owned the washer for about a week now. Switched over from a top loading washer to this front loader. Here are a few items that Id like to provide feedback on: * Its very easy to accidentally touch the power button when the wash cycle has started if one is around the washer doing other things. * Wish there was a way to keep the LED light on for the entire wash cycle. * You have to be creative when washing pillows because the load becomes uneven. You will need to add other items in the washer to even up the load. * The light gray letters on the four dispensers are very difficult to see. Wish the letters were black or a darker color to easily see the detergent bleachetc markings.

Constant problems for me

Nothing but problems with this washer. First issue was it kept shutting itself off due to a faulty safety feature built into the panel. Second was water leaks everywhere due to some other manufacturing defect. Good thing my LG and Best Buy warranty covered these documented issues. Due to backlog of Service Techs in my area Im without my washer each time for an average of 2-3 weeks waiting for parts and having to deal with going to Laundromats was a hassle.
