Good Sound But Bluetooth Problems

The sound from this soundbar is very good. But we have had problems with the Bluetooth connection because the soundbar will not go into pairing mode. The repair amount Samsung wants is almost the cost of the product.

I purchased a unit from Best Buy. It never worked well. I called Best Buy in Toronto and was told they no longer carry the product and to call Samsung for a replacement.
Samsung sent me to a repair centre. It worked for a while and then I had the exact same issue (it won't turn on, although power is reaching unit). I called Samsung case ID 512 128 6620 and was told by the escalated customer service representative Jess #3630 I'm out of luck as the warranty expired. I explained it was the same problem I had with the unit while under warranty, she didn't care and reffered me to Samsung Policy and Procedures which she implied was unfair as she was not authorized to help.
Very frustratied with Samsung selling lemons and not taking responsibility for their shabby products.

This was my first time purchasing a Samsung product I bought a Samsung TV and this soundbar. So fat the tv is fine but I have had to send my brand new soundbar back for service twice. When I first tried
to set up my brand new soundbar there was no power to the soundbar. I sent it back and supposedly they fixed it . We'll when I hooked it up I got sound out of the soundbar but no functions and the remote did not work. I decided to reboot it and after that I had nothing. Back to square one. I now had to send my brand new soundbar back for repair a second time. bad!!!

Ok, but not great. Impossible to connect to wifi via the android or iphone apps (multi-room). Lack of support after feedback.

We love our samsung soundbar. We were having trouble hearing some of our shows on our TV but with this system it is great! Great pricing also in comparedvto other brands. We also love our 4k samsung TV in our bedroom. Super quality.

Took me a little over an hour to set up, largely because I have never used my TV remote (cable box and remote did all the work). I had to use the TV remote to pair with the sound bar, and once I figured out the TV remote, two clicks and I was in business. Eezy peezy! I was a little concerned over whether my 2013 Samsung 51F5500 plasma tv would make the connection, but it clicked right in. Not bad for an old man who never made the transition from vinyl to digital. Fantastic theater sound!
One issue,the cable remote controls the tv and the tv controls the sound bar. When I turn the tv on with the cable remote, the sound bar does not come on. One click on the tv remote turns it back on. I have to do some work to figure out how to get the cable remote to control the sound bar (it does control volume once the sound bar comes on). I can live with that, and it's not Samsung's fault. Still five stars.

Purchased this from Best Buy. the sales rep mat was very helpful in determining our purchase as we had just purchased an 8000 series tv the month before. The only problem we encountered is the optical cable has a plastic covering over both ends which was not explained in the instructions. After we were told to take off the cap it was seamless.
This is not the first time purchasing a new tech product that we've encountered a tech writing mistake. If the writers understood that the buyers are not at their level of expertise on the product it would be a big help and same time for the buyer as well as some frustration.

The sound bar makes the TV audio much better.
The sound bar goes brain dead after the TV is placed on pause for several minutes while watching Netflix using digital inputs.
The TV remote does not control the volume using digital audio input. This requires using 2 remotes.
The sound bar infrequently stops working in the middle of a Netflix movie. The TV is still functioning. It recovers after unplugging and a reboot.

Given: Samsung HW-K650 sound bar and two Samsung Radiant 360 R1 speakers
Samsung Multiroom for IPad version 4042
Problem: lost Sound Control features (audio sync, treble and bass)
1. Added sound bar, then speakers to wireless network using Multiroom app.
2. Selected sound bar from pick list, then selected "Surround Sound"' then dragged and dropped the speakers to the appropriate left and right rear.
3. Powered on TV and sound bar.
4. Noticed that the audio and video were slightly not synchronized.
5. Selected Sound Control via remote control to attempt to adjust "audio sync", but the only option is Subwoofer level. Lost control of audio sync, treble and bass.

Instructions on how to hook up the soundbar are a little lacking. When using on HDMI ARC voices and picture not synced. When on WIFI works fine. Second issue is inability to pair/connect 2 Samsung R3 speakers to make my set up 5.1 surround sound. Very frustrated right now. Had it hooked up and running perfectly on day 1, but then on day 2 it did not work. So right now I have 2 R3 speakers just sitting and the soundbar working off WIFI instead of the better ARC connection.
If anyone has suggestions I'm open to trying.

Easiest thing to set up and pair with the TV. Decided to go Samsung all the way with our entertainment and it was a great decision. Using the TV Connect feature has kept our entire operation wireless as well. So easy! The speaker has multiple sound options, standard, music, sports, clear voice, night. Beautiful sound watching anything. The subwoofer (also wireless) has more than enough options to please anybody. Very, very happy with this purchase!

The HW-650 Sound Bar System is excellent choice for me. I purchased the HW-8500 65" Curved SUHD TV is an one, two punch. They go well together and is easy to set-up and use. Great sound with a lot of clean power of 340 watts. I'm very excited about my new purchase.

I love my new soundbar with wireless subwoofer. So easy to set up. The smartphone app is great. The sound quality is superb! This changes how I watch tv and movies. Love being able to stream from various sources to the soundbar. I am so happy I purchased this and will enjoy it for years to come. Thanks, Samsung!

I have gone through the ringer twice with this product now, both being sent in for the same issue, it will not connect to my router. I have done everything possible twice now and had the same result. A soundbar that will not work. I believe this issue is in the design and cannot be fixed.

Show an illustration to install with "SAMSUNG" logo facing up. The user may unknowingly lay it flat with the SAMSUNG label facing front. The result is that the user will not see the digital images and think the unit is defective as they do not know it is "powered up".
It happened to me. I actually called to return the unit only to find I had laid it down improperly.

The instructions did not cover hookup with HDMI cables but store personnel helped. The best quality sound though is from the bluetooth hookup with our Samsung TV. More base depth to the sound with BT than with HDMI. Will have to check with Samsung expert at store to ask why that is. Sounds is great though and I am very pleased.

Just got it today at Best buy,, got home set it up with out instructions,, eeeeasy,,, looks good fits nice under my uhd 65 no clutter no wires,, sound connect and wireless sub,,,, Sound wise its pretty good clear voices and u dont hear the sub much unless its ment to be heard,,,, blurays sound ridiculous,,,, loud n bassy with clarity,,,, good deal for a mid ranged soundbar plus u can connect rear speakers via wifi,,,, i recommend,,, I LIKES,,
