Replaced a 'many years old' Note 4 with another Note 4. Why? Because they're less than $200, and the last Note with replaceable battery. Replaceable battery is a must-have. I changed-out the battery in my old Note 4 three times over its 5 year lifespan. Samsung, bring back replaceable batteries, especially in flagship products. A $1000 device without replaceable battery is nonsense.

I thought I wanted the newest note but I cannot (seems neither can Verizon or Samsung) get this Alexa like program called Bixby off my phone. It keeps recording private conversations between my husband and me and also any TV programs I am watching and keeps talking to me and it cannot be turned off.

This is my second note 4. Had my first for 3 years before it got rUn over by car. Then I got the s6 when it first come out. Was not happy with the s6. So I bought my new Note so glad I did. I missed the spin so much for quick note to doing equipment drawings jn the field with out having to drag around pencil and paper or my lap top.

I LOVE THIS PHONE!! I had one for 2 and a half years before i upgraded to the S8+. Now i cannot wait to go back.Im not very tech savvy but i was able to do amazing things with the Note 4 adn breezed right through anything i needed/wanted to do.At first,I was bothered by the width of it but by the time i got the 8+,it felt foreign to my hands and I yearned for my Note 4

I've owned all the Galaxy Note incarnations (except 7) since the very first one, up to and including the new Note 8; and this one is still far and away my favorite. Yes, it feels a little dated now after using the current version, but "new" doesn't always mean "better" when considering all aspects of the phone. The Note 4 is the phone I had in service longer than any phone I've ever owned - because it worked flawlessly, has a gorgeous screen, and looks and feels the best out of all of them (yes, I'm getting a little sentimental lol). It never let me down and still hasn't -to this day I still use it as a mini-tablet around the house and intend to keep it as a backup phone as long as I can. I firmly believe that Samsung got it right with this one - regarding function as well as design; and I sincerely hope that they will refer back to the Note 4 when designing the successor to the 8 - and bring back the truly big, "fat" screen, just minus the bezels (since that's a feature which is apparently here to stay), as well as other features.

Please add back the calendar event that stays in the notification bar until I dismiss it or 7 day like it was on my note 4. As of right now it last maybe an hour. I am a hairstylist and I dont always look at my phone when I have back to back clients in my chair. If the event isnt in my notification bar I dont know that I have an event coming up. the rest of the phone is really really great. I just want to know what events have happened or are going to happen in my notification bar, Please.

Had this phone for over 2 years. Only had to change the battery twice. Still runs good with any app and it seems to handle all the updates. I have dropped this phone many times without a case and with a case. I'm a field tech and having the S pen for storing quick data is awesome. Its a great phone with plenty of features. The menu is real deep full of customizations.

The Best Phone I Have Owned, To date

This was the first note phone I owned. I wish had not traded it in for the Note 7, as I would have this phone top use, rather than a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The Note 4 is a wonderful smartphone with a big, flat screen. The Super AMOLED screen offers brilliant, realistic colors similar to, or better than, those of current desktop and laptop computer monitors. The S-pen is easy to use and S-pen functions can be conveniently accessed via Air command, if desires. Because the Note 4 I owned had 64 GB of on-board memory, I was able to have a lot of apps one my phone, all of which I used inn a fairly regular basis. I saved photos, documents and other items one the SD card. I never had to worry about not having memory space. For the short time had one, the Note 7 was the same. The S7 Edge has half the on-board memory and half the SĎ card capacity the Note 7 had. If the Note 4 is still available, you're looking for a solid phone with lots of storage, and you don't have to own the most recent model one they market, I highly recommend the Note 4. It does not have the edge screen, but that is a plus, in my opinion. If there were a way to get my Note 4 back, at least until the Note 8 is released and determined not to be faulty, I would trade in theS7 Edge in a heartbeat.

Plenty of other reviews already mention this device's virtues. I'll focus on what's wrong. First of all the battery life is terrible. I keep 6 batteries in my pocket in hopes of getting through just one typical 24 hour period. Secondly, the battery is not tight against the contacts, so it sometimes disconnects all power. I use a piece of card-stock to add pressure so battery fits tighter in the compartment. Thirdly, it does not get a really good signal, so dropped calls are not unusual. And lastly, it is not fast, so there can be a fair amount of waiting around. I consider the above points minuses. Other than all that, it's a decent enough phone.

the very first day I got the phone I was annoyed with it. the firmware is stuck on android 4.4.4 and I can't update it. the battery is shot and won't stay charged for more that 30 minutes without shutting off on me. I thought that a galaxy note would be a great update from my iphone. it would be if I could get the latest firmware, the battery wasn't horrible and the speed wasn't so slow. the features are cool and I like the health app a lot but it is all literally pointless to have if the phone can't even keep a charge.

Still Won't Give up My Note4!

After two years, I still absolutely adore my Galaxy Note4, despite recent battery issues. That said, I expected such issues to occur earlier. But since I have two batteries and regularly rotate through them, I think the timing of the fatigue on the batteries is generally as-expected. The primary reason I have no desire to "upgrade" has to do with two factors: I'm not interested in a wrap-around touch screen, and I very strongly prefer being able to replace the battery without having to void the warranty. While I think wrap-around touch screens are nifty, I have enough issues with accidentally hitting the edge of the screen. Having wrap-around touch-sensitive regions would just make that more common and much more annoying. I was significantly disappointed when the successive Note-series phablets were offered without a user-replaceable battery. And while I'd love to upgrade, I'm not likely to until there's a new Note model with a user-replaceable battery. And while finding new OEM batteries is a challenge, it's still possible, so I'm not excessively concerned on that account.

Best phone I have had by far. I love the fact that I can change my battery and my memory card. I recently did have to change my battery because the original was dying quickly after it got to below 30%. I have lots of apps loaded and background apps running at all times. I talk on the phone for approximately 3 hrs a day . I use Maps, connect on Bluetooth, surf the internet, take pictures, and play games. It does them all well. The pictures are awesome. It takes great pictures in low light. I have an expensive camera but I use it much less now because the phone is so convenient and easy to use. The software is great except for the bloatware that Verizon put on it. They put dangerous apps on your phone like the Drive Mode. This app comes up while you are driving and wants you to set it up! Really! I do like the size. I was hesitant at first to get such a large phone but I can read books on Kindle and play games which would be hard on a smaller phone. I have had problems with the auto brightness not operating correctly and the phone going dim. I usually keep it in manual brightness because of it.

Have had the phone for 16 months and the thing drains battery, wont stay on,phone dies with battery at 62%, it will shut down and then turn on and keeps cycling like that until you take the battery out! have to carry an extra battery or be plugged in multiple times in a day, even with very little use! Im being told it is an issue with the mother board. Im not even done paying for the thing and it is trash! nothing worse than needing a new phone before your even done paying for it!

Lollipop killed my signal

Ever since the lollipop upgrade my cell signal is incredibly weak. Most the time I have one bar sometimes two bars if I'm lucky. I like the phone I like the features but it's aggravating to have such an expensive phone and I can't even look online or use any of the apps because I have such a weak signal that they won't run. So come on Samsung give us another update or something to fix this.

I got this phone about 2 years ago, and the first year it was pretty great. However, the more you use it and the features it has, the slower it gets and the more issues that start to crop up. Having to factory reset in order to have better performance for a device is not ideal at all.

I have had this phone over 2 years and I have torched this phone.being a firefighter and I owned my own business.this phone survived me taking it into multiple fire,dropped and any true beating. Still being strong enough to support my business Inventory and a multiple camera system. The note pad kept me always accessible from EMS calls to a shopping list . Great durability only sacrifice was the amount of features I used I did have to remember to charge the phone, I could only get 12 to 14 hours with the amount of use.

I loved my note 4...the camera is amazing!! Its easy to use. What I don't like is that after having it for 2 years, it starts to shut off on its own... and there are no new batteries... after getting my phone replaced 3 times in one week, I realized that I needed to replace the battery, because my carrier had no clue and kept replacing the phone... Other than the battery drama, there are really no complaints, I would keep this phone forever if I could

Coming from a Note2 to Note 4 seems like night and day. I like the newer security measures in the phone. The size of data storage including the ability to handle 128gb sd card. I was ready to move up to the Note 7 but we all know how that went so to the Note 4 for the meantime. The only problem I have with my Note 4 is the phone's contact app keeps crashing and the only way to get it back is a reset.

This has been a great smart phone, replacing my note 2, which I broke in a fall while rock climbing. The camera is excellent, the phone great and there are just too many apps that I don't need, that will be a plus for most heavy users, but I intend to go back to a simple flip phone because I don't use much smart phone functions and rarely, so I don't need a big fragile computer in my pocket.

I love how my phone transfers calls to my smart watch so I never miss a call even when I leave my Note 4 in the car. My phone also pairs to my car so it is very convenient. MY newest, a Tab E, also pairs with my Note 4 so, with a 3-story house, I can leave it on one of two floors and I have phone extensions!

I love my Samsung Note 4! It has a large screen, the stylus is self contained, and a removable battery. Though it is kind of old and outdated I stick with it because the battery is removable. I would like to upgrade to the Note 7 with the great newer features it offers, but the issue with overheating and the non-removable battery have persuaded me to keep this one for now. Afterall, it all still gets the job done...

Note 4: An excellent device marred by inefficient software and bloat

I've had my Note 4 for over a year now. I love the device. The design is good, the stylus is awesome, the hardware is good, the camera is awesome, the fingerprint sensor is so convenient and quite a few more features that are just super. I also have to mention the build quality is just something worth mentioning. I have dropped this phone on its corner on asphalt, concrete and tile. Other than the scratches on the frame the phone has had no problems at all. I am surprised. Every time this phone slips out of my hand due to my occasional lack of motor skills, I wince as it makes its way to a jarring smack with the floor. I pick the phone back up with bated breath and my eyes widen with disbelief. I say to myself, 'I am sure this phone should have cracked open with this drop'. My 1 year old son has also gone to town with the Note 4. Scraping it across tile, putting it in his mouth when I am not looking and even chewing on it. With all this abuse, the Note 4 seems fine and happy. Kudos Samsung! BUT. Ohhh yes! a big but indeed... I have to ask Samsung one question. Why does Samsung bring down such an awesome device with bloatware and jittery Touchwiz? When you have created a product so very capable, why spoil it with mediocre software and all of these third party apps? I have already done two factory resets. Both the resets happened after my phone just got unbearably slow. No amount of power cycles, clearing cache and disabling apps helped to speed it up. The moment a factory reset is done, the true nature of the phone is realized. I am disappointed. I wish that Samsung would get their act together on the software side. They need to just sit down and start coding smooth software for their simply awesome devices. If they cant do it, then please just put stock Android in there and I will be one happy customer. Thank you Samsung for the awesome Note 4 but No thank you for the bloat and poor software.
