First, the good news. this keyboard synched up immediately with my JS9000 TV. Now for the bad. This would probably rate four stars if you just wanted to use it for web browsing, for which the keyboard works well. The trackpad is a little skittish, but you can get used to it. However, the box shows all of the Samsung "Smart Hub" features, so the implication is that you can use the QUERTY keyboard to access applications on the Smart Hub toolbar. Most will not work (for example Hulu, Amazon, YouTube).. You will have to use the pointer on the TV remote and point to each individual letter. That makes this unit worthless for the Smart Hub. (I did get Netflix to work). Samsung, you make such great products; how about building an interface to allow the KBD 2500 to work with third-party applications? I returned my unit.

Given the lack of working apps for a new Samsung Smart-Hub LETV, it was necessary to purchase this expensive accessory. Although it functioned reasonably well initially, despite trying countless (and time-consuming) maneuvers as per Samsung's instructions, after more than a month of trial-and-error this keyboard still fails to connect. (Although it does turn the TV off. ...)
Limited by mobility, time, and availability, together with the need to combine computing and video, as well as "entertainment" suitable for a family room constrained by space and decore, I had hoped that purchasing this over-priced keyboard - specifically designed use with Samsung's own screen/TV containing a basic built-in processor - would be of benefit; instead it is just one more headache.

I purchased a VG-KBD2500/ZA key board to work with my UN55JS7000FXZA TV after chatting with another Samsung representative. They confirmed this unit would work with my TV. It does, however it will not allow me to type in any of the search fields of any of the APPS such as YOUTUBE. I found that odd as the photo on Samsung's web page one can clearly see YOUTUBE. So I reached out to Samsung via chat and asked them if I was doing something wrong. They confirmed the APPS determine whether or not a keyboard can be used in place of the virtual keyboard displayed on screen. For me this is a deal breaker. I bought this to do just that. I does work in the search bar of a web browser and there are useful remote commands to operate the TV. If it would work with the APPS it would be a great product as it is made to high standards as most Samsung products are.

Sleeping after each 5 min. Need 3-5 sec. to wake up. Not usable touchpad.
